The best plan to give your new PSAs is the one you follow yourself (if it is successful). Being with SFI for over a year, you must have found your path, you certainly know what investments in time, money, and effort are required, and this is the knowledge to pass to your Affiliates.

Why?

More probably than not, you'll get hundreds of answers like: tell them to log in daily, do the TO-DO list, set a standing order, blah, blah, blah, from people who very often do not perform any actions concerning financial engagement, but would like their Affiliates to do them in order to generate commissions.

You will certainly also get valuable tips from the really successful SFI members, but before you pass that on to your Affiliates, have a closer look at them, and if possible try them out yourself.

SFI is very transparent and one of the principles at SFI is "leading by example", so if you recommend something you don't do/use/buy yourself, you may lose your credibility. Remember, every Affiliate has access to your profile… So, be always honest with your Affiliates!

If what you currently do, works - share it with your new Affiliates in a series of letters disclosing YOUR plan step by step. Do not cram it into one letter, because it may be too much to digest at once.

If you find a better idea among the answers to your question, try it out yourself and if it works, share this one, too, with your downline and make it the current plan for the new Affiliates.

As for the plan I share with my successful Affiliates:

1. In month 1 I ask my Affiliates to do the VP Ledger tasks and I explain what 1500 VPs are for and how they expire each month, and how they can get those 1500 VPs (more or less) automatically by setting up a Standing Order (I have two financial plans, one that involves smaller investment of ca. $19 and requires doing TO-DO LIST tasks daily for missing VPs and the other for those who can set up a larger monthly budget)

2. Next, I teach my Affiliates that the most important thing here is not buying and/or selling, but building their own team of Affiliates. Since I rely on automation, I suggest a product from TC store that I use myself to get 25 (currently) PSAs each month.

When they follow these two points, they hit two birds with one stone - automation and duplication. Automation, since they get 1500 VPs to remain EAs, plus new Affiliates without any recruiting, and duplication since they can then concentrate on leadership and teach their Affiliates do the same.
Of course logging in daily, doing the TO-DO LIST task to get an entry in the Daily Grand drawing go without saying. And people do them.

I also contribute to this duplication by making my letter series available to all my Affiliates who are free to use them in their campaigns.

One more thing – no matter what brilliant plans you share with your Affiliates, teach them also this: SFI is a long-term commitment not a get-rich-quick scheme. The results will come but not overnight, probably after a few months, but more probably after a longer period.

Hi,

That's not a difficult question to answer, especially that SFI provides you with all the tools to be a good leader, and my path is as follows:

1. I use the PSA/CSA mailer to communicate with my affiliates. They usually do not respond but that does not scare me off.

2. Leading by example - I don't recommend anything to my affiliates that I don't use myself, and I try to be consistent with what I teach.

3. I monitor my affiliates' progress (the Genealogy tool is great for that) and provide encouragement to the hard-working ones.

4. As I contact my affiliates on a more or less regular basis and monitor their progress, I can see who is moving up and who is quitting. After a word of encouragement to those quitting ones, I simply stop contacting them if there is no answer/no change in their history. This way I can work with the hard-working ones in the end.

5. The Pareto rule (or the 80/20 rule) says that we get 80% of our results from 20% of our resources, so I try to identify those 20% and start working even more with them.

6. I forward the knowledge, but I have no influence upon how this knowledge is used, if at all. That's why if my affiliates use what I teach them - it's our mutual success, if they don't - it's not my problem, because I do my part.

7. I spend as much time (or a bit more) as I have declared in my profile (currently 15 hours a week), studying the training materials and learning the ins and outs of the program to help my affiliates even more in the future.

I'd say - first things first, i.e. I would start with actually LISTING some of your products, because right now you don't even have the chance to make your affiliates familiar with them. I've just visited your T-Connect page to see what products you offer, and...

While the old adage "when you build it, they will come" may not suit the Internet marketing too well, it's still somewhat valid. First you build your business, then you advertise it, not the other way round.

Don't be afraid, don't be shy, just show the world what you've got in store, direct your current and new affiliates to your store, tell them about the products, and eventually you'll find a person or two to advertise your products around the world.

Having set up that, you can always announce competitions on your leadership page, which can be connected with your products - reward your affiliates for the most sales, most unique visitors (if you can track that) to your store, for the most valuable sale... these are just examples and I'm sure your creativity will suggest you a few more :) also in terms of rewards.

By the way, since you decided to list your products on TripleClicks, I think it's worthwhile to let the world now about it. Think of an adequate campaign, and if possible, also use TripleClicks marketing materials. This way you may get both new customers and new affiliates who'll be more than glad to advertise and sell your products for commissions and rewards you may offer.

As you've probably noticed, SFI is a global organization so your origin has nothing to do with your success. There are people from all over the world and many of them are successful.

What I would suggest is that you start with the basics first - fill in your profile, goals, whitelist SFI e-mail, and all those basic actions that make your profile look professional.

Then, you must commit yourself to working with SFI, to building your business organization, i.e. sponsor new affiliates, work with them, and teach them to do the same with their affiliates. Sounds simple, but may require much time and effort, and some money investment if you want to build your downline faster.

In order to be included in the earnings, you need to reach the Executive Affiliate rank and keep it at all times. An easy task at the beginning, a more difficult one later on. However, setting up a Standing Order for TripleClicks item that is rewarede with 1500 VPs is just enough.

You may also hear from others that you have to buy from TripleClicks store, participate in Pricebenders auctions and so on. This may, of course, be a part of your strategy, but let me point out that SFI is basically a MLM busines. The idea of MLM business, then, is not to buy and sell, but to build your organization as many levels deep as possible. You are responsible for building your first level and teaching them to build their first level and teach their first level to... and so on. Therefore, your primary goal should be sponsoring new affiliates and in that respect TripleClicks store comes in very handy.

The above advice could be summed up in three words: Automate And Duplicate. If you can set a budget of ca. $55 dollars a month you can automate retaining your EA rank and getting new affiliates every month (15 - 25). Having saved time on that, you can devote yourself to duplication, i.e. teaching your affiliates to do exactly what you do. That's the shortest way to success.

A word of warning, though. If you have been spoiled by many get-rich-quick schemes out there which (of course) didn't work for you, SFI may not be for you. The success here DOES NOT come overnight and you have to set your perspective to months if not years. But if you can appreciate every penny you earn, if you can greet every new affiliate with hope, and if you can commit yourself to learn and teach at the same time - you're on the right track to success and the success will come.

That depends on what you are really asking about. Whether you mean "why don't people work towarads reaching and retaining their EA rank?", or "why don't people progress above the EA rank?".

In the first case it is, in my opinion at least, the very fact that the majority of them is looking for fast and easy money. People are spoiled by many scams online promising them riches overnight and they simply hop from one program to another hoping to get rich overnight without any effort on their part at all. This, however, does not work so they stop at whatever point they lose their interest. You can see then your PSAs or CSAs having 10 VP, 15 VP or something like that, doing nothing, waiting for God knows what. Later on such people usually say that online programs do not work. With time you see your downline shrink and that's normal.

If you wonder whether there is a way to activate those people, there is not. You can work yourself to death sending e-mails, offering help, organizing help, and the response is usually very weak. People just want to EARN money not WORK for money, and they don't understand what a long time commitment is.

The same people, however, spend long years on the same job without even a thought of changing it, although it does not make them rich either.

If you wonder why people do not advance in ranks above EA at SFI, the answer is also simple: this requires collecting VPs and the daily, weekly, and monthly actions are not enough to collect sufficient number of VPs to advance to BTL for example. Only when you build your organization (downline), you can expect earning enough VPs to advance in ranks.

I wouldn't like to sound negative, but in my honest opinion there is no such way and I am very aware of the fact that many will oppose my opinion here, but please read on, everybody.

In order to understand why people in your donwline hardly respond to any communication you send them and why don't they rate you or interact with you in any other way for that matter, you have to understand why people are here. And the simple truth is that people are here(excuse my caps) TO MAKE MONEY, not to socialize with anybody. SFI is not facebook or twitter. The fact that someone reacted to your ad, clicked that link and joined does not mean that they will be communicating with you.

Secondly, you send those people tips, advice, recommend BUYING things, and this easily turns people off. Why? Because they don't trust you. Why? Because they have been (most often) scammed many times by now, they have been spoiled by FREE/No effort and similar slogans, and once they see SFI does require work - they quit. The system does not delete them from your downline at once and you think you have a huge downline, but there may be no one to rate you, sorry.

Thirdly, as I have written above, too, people are not here to socialize or interact with you or the system. They just want their money and if they can't see the money, they quit, again.

Now, let me ask you a question: Have you ever received any reply to the mailings you send to the people? I'd be very surprised if you had. Even if you end each of your letters with invitation to contact you. And the same people who do not respond to your mailings are the ones who should rate your performance. Do you think they will?

Now slightly off-topic:
Just go to your "Genealogy" and select Sort by "VersaPoints (this month), dsc, and see how many people accumulated any VP this month. How does that relate to your whole downline? Again, you are looking at people who are supposed to rate your performance...

Finally: It is not how other people rate you (or not) and comment on your performance (or not) that matters. What REALLY matters is that you know you're doing your best here. And if you do, you don't need any ratings.

Dear Svetlana,

Many people will say that paid advertising is better because it produces better results. This is true. There are, however, two things to take into account while choosing between free and paid advertising: your experience and your budget.

As in everything, there is a learning curve concerning advertising, too, and although I'd advocate paid advertising, I'd also suggest to learn with free forms of it.

Why? Simply because you must know what is bringing results and what is not, you must learn how to structure your ad to draw people's attention, you must learn how to track your ads, and a few things more. With free advertising you can experiment as much as you wish without risking your money.

The key word here is tracking - if you learn how to track your ads, you're good to go, because you'll know the results of each campaign as it goes. If you don't know how to track your results, going straight to paid advertising can end up in a disaster - poor results and money lost.

Therefore, even if you have a large budget for advertising, start with free forms of it and solid tracking: learn what ads get clicked, learn how many clicks convert into target result - a person becoming SFI affiliate, learn how many of these become and remain active, and last but not least - project it upon your expected spendings on paid advertising to see how much you'll have to pay for a single productive affiliate.

Once you have this knowledge, you may go up to paid advertising. Let me warn you here, however, that if you are thinking about PPC (pay per click) ads, all keywords relating to earning money online are extremely expensive now, and if your budget is low, it can get consumed by just one click.

Again, however, there is a learning curve here, where the terms to learn are: cost per click, ROI, conversions, keyword, and long-tail keyword, for example. And of course a solid tracking is a must. You don't want your money get washed down the drain, right?

If you however decide on paid advertising, please do at least one thing: set your daily/weekly/monthly budget and follow it strictly. Also test, edit, change your ads to maximize your results. If you see that something does not work, stop it as soon as possible. Watch your results and watch your money.

One final remark: there are many PPC advertising companies out there, but - frankly speaking - only to of them are the real players: Google (AdWords) and Yahoo (Bing). The other small fishes may offer you lower prices, but they also produce much lower results measured in clicks and conversions.

Summing up, I'd rather suggest starting with free advertising, treat it as a test field and switch to paid advertising as soon as you are familiar and comfortable with setting up advertising campaigns and results tracking.

In fact, the answer to your question is included in... your question. What I mean is that building your downline at any MLM, and SFI is one of them, is a never ending process. So the best approach is the combination of both ways you mention in your question.

You should sponsor new affiliates all the time, spot the real movers and then work with them, while sponsoring more affiliates.

This way you may avoid one of the main problems connected with MLM, i.e. atrition. After some time some people drop out. That's normal, therefore you should have a constant stream of fresh affiliates.

In a perdect world you could stop at reaching 5 people on your first level, and work only with them to help them get 5 people each on their first level, and teach them to teach their downline to get... and so on. In real world, however, an affiliate who seems strong at the beginning may get bored or tired with time and drop out. If there's nobody to replace them, you have to recruit new ones to find someone equally good. If you sponsor new affiliates on a continuous basis, the problem may solve itself - there's always somebody to substitute the one who dropped out.

Now, you might think, or judge by your own experience, that continuous sponsoring new affiliates is time consuming. And it is. You might ask yourself, however, how much your time is worth, and be willing to spend some money on a service that guarantees you a stream of fresh affiliates each month. I have done so. I found a good service offering me 15 (10+5) guaranteed PSAs each month and I forgot all about recruiting. The time I have saved (no need to click links in safelist ads, text exchanges, etc.) I've been using for leadership tasks, communication with my Affiliates, writing weekly and monthly newsletters both for the "general public" and for the "movers", no matter whether they are PSAs or CSAs.

In my opinion, therefore, only a combination of constant sponsoring/recruiting with working with the workers can provide satisfactory results.

That's a very good question and the answer is really simple and straightforward.

You recruit your PSAs so when they join, you've already gathered at least a pinch of experience. You've most probably learned some ins and outs, checked this, that, and something else. You've been through a few articles, and most probably also, you've got some orientation communication from your sponsor, co-sponsor, and upline members.

This is the knowledge you can share with your new PSAs. You already know what they haven't learned yet, and if they get this basic knowledge from you, they'll value you more as their sponsor.

So share whatever you have learned so far, both good and bad experience. Tell your affiliates what you have done so far and how it worked for you. Show them possible pitfalls that you have encountered. Tell them about all the actions you have taken that brought positive results.

Remember - you are always one step ahead of your affiliates and just rely on this very fact while sharing your knowledge.

If your PSA asks you a question you can't answer, be honest about it: "sorry, I haven't gotten that far, but I'll check it for you". Refer to FAQ, forum, etc. to extend your knowledge and pass it on.

Simply speaking - learn and teach what you have learned; that's the best way to gain, spread, and practically use your knowledge.

Let me start by saying that this IS an important question and concerning many of us.

Going straight to the point: 10 times 1 TCredit. Note: not a pack of 10 TCredits but 10 times 1 Tcredit. Why?

1 TCredit costs $1.89 and gives you 102 VP, so if you order ten of them, you pay $18.90 and you've got 1020 VP. You're short of 480 VP to qualify to your rank.

You get those points by doing your TO-DO LIST tasks:

Daily actions = 11 VP x 30 = 330
Weekly actions = 4x30 (team mail) + 4x5 (TConnect) + 4x3 (Stream) = 120+20+12 = 152
Monthly actions = 5 (set goals before 10) = 10 (rate your sponsor) = 15
TOTAL = 497 VP

1020 + 497 = 1517 VP and you're re-qualified.

There is nothing cheaper than that I think. You might think about buying 11x1 Tcredits to have 1140 VP for your purchases and to be on the safe side if you know that you are going to miss your SFI activity for a day or two.
