Thanks for Asking this so often popular question. I have faced similar challenges before so I feel you and understand were you are coming from.
I will therefore gladly share my experiences in handling this situation and hope it helps you now or the next time you are faced with it. I also hope these answers help many other Affiliates faced with similar challenges.
HOW I OVERCAME NEGATIVITY FROM DISCOURAGING PEOPLE
1.Don't Sweat The Small Stuff.
In this world there will always be all kinds of people saying all kinds and sorts of discouraging or disparaging remarks to pull you down whether you are succeeding or not. Please remember it's your Business and your future you are building and not theirs. So every time someone says anything disparaging or discouraging simply and quickly discard it off your Mind.You are way more valuable than all the bad stuff they are saying against you. simply shake off the dirt and keep walking forward.
2.let Others Advice You BUT Always Have the Final Say or Answer
Frederic Klopstock remarked, He who has no opinion of his own, but relies on the opinion of others, is a SLAVE. In other wards the person who trims himself to suit everybody else will soon whittle himself away. Never wish to be anything but yourself and if you have made up your mind to work the SFI business then you should be able to take control over any one discouraging you. One other lesson I have learned is that there's only one life- my own. the person who walks in someone Else's tracks never leaves his own footprints. most of our challenges in Life come from not knowing ourselves and ignoring our true virtues.
TIP: The easiest thing in the world to be is you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. Please don't let them put you in that position.
3. Focus....Focus...Focus..
The power of focus can never be underestimated. Imagine what would have happened if Gerry Carson had quit in developing SFI half way down the road years back!.. Neither you nor I nor the thousands of people that have been empowered by SFI the world over right now would ever be what they are.., right! Let not money or lack of it or anyone discourage you from achieving your goals my dear friend. Why? Because you alone own your future. I know you can make it!
4.Please Never Quit....Never Say Die!
Am sure you have heard of the common slogan, "Quitters never Win and Winners never quit. All of us at some point in our lives want to give up and throw in the towel. I too have been through those moments more than once. I am glad I stayed the course. I believed there was a light at the end of my tunnel.Where there is a will to do something, there is always a way.
5. The Eagle Vs The Chicken
Always look to the top and surround yourself around people who are either better than you are in terms of experience or are achievers. You know!, the EAGLES always soar High because they are a class a part from the chickens. The chickens only scratch the ground for food while the Eagles eat the very chickens. Interesting!!..Isn't it? One good place to find those people of like mindedness is right here at SFI. Am glad you asked the question within SFI and I hope you have gotten some positive responses so far. If you can reach your sponsor or up line, contact them and let them advise you and give you some more great tips.
6.Have A positive Mental ATTITUDE!
There is power in Thinking positive always. If you believe as I do that SFI is going to help you secure a financial future as long as you keep working on it diligently then be rest assured that nothing negative can ever stop you from achieving your goal. Someone said that, "Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goals and Nothing in this world can Help the man with the wrong mental attitude". Every one great man or woman I have read about in this world understood that secret and that's how they achieved greatness. They simply closed their ears to All negativity. I am not saying you should discard your friends. Personally I choose my friends wisely and whom to keep close and who to stay away from. Why? Because I want my life and environment to be saturated by positivity always.
7.Share Your Own Success And Other SFI Success Stories And Testimonies.
If you can, seat them down at a dinner table and calmly and genuinely share all the success stories you can within SFI. Tell them SFI is a real business with real future potential earnings. Give examples of guys who are earning $50k, $80k $100k etc per month and how you too are positioning yourself for the same long term success. Tell them you understand their skepticism about online business and the many scams out there then proceed to calmly explain to them how SFI is different from all the rest. I have done it and I can testify that it works. They will eventually see you begin to bear fruit and will want to hop in.
8. Trust Yourself
Yes! You heard me right! TRUST yourself. No one can be happy without confidence in their own powers and abilities. To succeed you need self-confidence. Inferiority complex prevents the attainment of your hopes , but self-confidence leads to successful achievement. Such mental attitude is needed to succeed in SFI and is extremely important. Within you is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. the power becomes available to you just as soon as you change your beliefs. "As A man Thinks in His Heart so is He. I believe you can make it!..Go for it!
9.Deliberately Believe in SFI's Future Success
By now, hopefully if you implemented the steps above should have seen some positive results coming your way. Once you have the leeway and your friends and relatives have finally accepted that you are positioned to succeed with SFI, then it's time to take it even further from there.You see, the problems of the world cannot be possibly solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by obvious realities. We need men and women who can dream things that were that never were- John F Kennedy. Matter of fact if you don't believe in SFI yourself am sorry to say that you will never get passed the Basic Affiliate level. Why? because you don't believe it! You've got to love your business and own it and nurture it. Only then will you see success begin to trickle down in bits and peaces. Those bits and pieces make a sweet bundle.
10.Motivate Yourself!
Fire yourself up, cheer up, become enthusiastic and always have fun. Laugh, sing if you can, dance, play an instrument, read a motivational book or anything that can motivate you and get you going every time you feel discouraged by the circumstances around you. This little Magic works for me every time! Enthusiasm takes you where talent Alone Can't. You can't deliver the goods if your heart is heavier than the Load. optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. So think excitement, talk excitement, act out excitement, and you will become an excited person.
11. Read the Success Principles by Gerry Carson
Here within SFI are some of the best success principles and stories you could ever find from people who have been were you are right now and seen it all. Isn't it true what they say that Experience is always the best teacher? I believe it 100%. Instead of us going through the same mistakes they went through, it's better to learn from them and avoid them to our own advantage.
12.Change Direction to Reach Your Goal
What do I mean by that? Zig Ziglar remarked," When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal, you do not change your decision to get there." In other words by changing direction you change tactic to reach your goal/s in SFI. You do not change your decision or Quit to get there. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always try just one more time- Thomas Edison.
Lastly, I will end this way
If you must still insist on the counsel of others then only seek for such counsel from the great Mother Teresa who advises:
People are often unreasonable, Illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the best you've got anyway
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.
