To get your downline to focus on duplication, as a Team Leader you must have established a good relationship with them. Building a close relationship will take time. This can be in the form of group support message, promotion/incentive and recognition. Constant communication with your downline is very vital to build this kind of close relationship. If you have shown to them that you are there for them in their journey with SFI, then they will most likely listen to your tips and advice.

By displaying your badges like, as a top enroller, S-Builder Co-op, Power Rank, etc. on your Leadership page, you are leading a good example to them.

You can explain to them that they will be able to achieve the highest Team Leader, a PTL as they continue to step up their sponsoring consistently, keeping in mind the guidelines in “Be an Awesome Sponsor”. Let them know that by giving back to invest some of your SFI earnings in the form of promotions and incentives (Gift Certificate or TCredits) in helping them, you are performing duplication. By doing this, you want them to be highly motivated.

Do you know that people with written goals succeed? Most people think that a “goal” has to be something big. Maybe you’ve got the impression that goals need to be about someone else’s idea, or success in some way that society has defined. The average person spends his life living out someone else dreams for so called security. You must know your true calling align your SFI career with your passion.

Do you have a goal set for your day to day SFI business? I make sure that I log in everyday, performing To-Do List, answering emails to my downlines, participating in SFI Forum, posting on Stream post and checking what’s new at TripleClicks.
If you look at the structure of the To-Do List, you can see all the goals classified that we can just follow to achieve our positions as we accumulate the required VersaPoints.

One of the goals that I have set is to become a PTL. To achieve this, I will need to be consistent in sponsoring affiliates, building teams with my downlines. I do need also to continue learning and implementing the tools and resources provided for us.

As my long term goal, I would like to achieve financial freedom by building a solid team, compose of passionate people helping other people to succeed in SFI.

Each individual who has joined SFI has something in mind that he/she would like to change if starting all over again. For me I will talk about my experience when I joined over ten years ago.

Over ten years ago, joining SFI is a lot different than today. No SFI BASICS and LAUNCHPAD lessons. I didn’t understand the full concept of SFI opportunity.

Now that I understood the core concept of SFI, which is Duplication, if I start all over again, I would do the following to attain the potential of being an SFI affiliate:

- Focus on sponsoring affiliates consistently.
This includes learning the training articles on Sponsoring affiliates ranging from Internet income course, online promotion tips, 20 reasons why you need your own website, Ask Gery: Where to advertise for good results and so on.

- Employ effective advertising
Generating leads consistently is an important part of venturing SFI. You need to stay atop, not only to meet your goal of sponsoring certain numbers of affiliates every month but exceed your expectation. Now that SFI provides the Marketing Aids and shows us the Marketing Methods found in Marketing Center, we can start using these tools extensively to our advantage. With careful planning and focused effort I can now promote SFI effectively. It is a strong step toward solid growth and increased market share.

- Establish close relationship with downlines
What is the use of sponsoring hundreds of new affiliates, if you don’t have time or if you have poor communication skills? SFI is an online home based business and you need to start building relationship as soon as you received your new signed ups by giving them a warm welcome. Practice the effective ways of communication if you are to gain trust to your downlines and start building your team.

Understanding this core concept of SFI’s duplication over ten years ago and focus on investing on it, I would be surprised to what extent my SFI business would have grown.

SFI Tools and Resources are also important part of becoming a successful ECA, analogue to having textbooks to aid you in your studies to finish your university degree, but if you don't apply your full effort and unwavering belief, you won't be able to become successful.

The commitment and your 100% belief that you are going to succeed and overcome whatever obstacles in your way is not being emphasized. Success means you have a great burning desire to achieve your goal. You might have a good product, high VersaPoints, a high rating from Google search that these products are what most people want, but if you are not sure or worried that you can become a successful ECA, then what's the point? If you have seen a dried river after a long drought and the rain pours heavily and continuously for several days, the river will start to flow continuously overcoming every obstacle on its way, until it reaches its destination. To answer this question, I would like to address the word success. Most likely, every individual has his own definition of success. One would say achieving a short term goal is a success. Others would say achieving your ultimate goal, where your passion is, is the true success.

The question deals with SFI affiliates finding success in just few weeks and others will take months or years. Is finding success synonymous with achieving success? If this is the case then, I would like to know how can one find or achieve success in just weeks with SFI. If what is being meant here is by doing the FASTTRACK one can accumulate 500VP + 200VP in just 24 hours, almost half of the required VPs to achieve EA and also being automatically entered to E365 with lots of prizes to be won plus performing the To-Do List every day, in a short time achieving EA, this sounds to be finding your way to success. If furthermore, one has funds to cover all his expenses to promote SFI like, sponsoring, offering incentives to downlines, this could be seen as easy and fast in achieving success. One might have done good in sponsoring by purchasing PSAs, saving time, but you need time to establish close relationship with your downlines, especially with your new PSAs. As a Team Leader, one of your most important responsibilities is how you can get your PSAs to buy into your SFI vision. What is an inspiring goal that you would like your PSAs to come together and commit for it?

Before going into the how of getting your PSAs to commit in SFI, you need to think about why people become involved in and committed to an organization. You can start with yourself by asking the following questions:

- Why are you committed to SFI?

- What is most important to you?

The goals of your team, the people with whom you partner with, your vision of what is possible, the length of time you’ve invested in SFI and working with your PSAs, the satisfaction you get from doing your own SFI business, your role in your own SFI organization, etc are some of the most important thoughts that will help you understand about commitment.

People commit to an organization because they gain something important from their involvement. When you invite them to become involved, you are not only asking for their help in making SFI a global community but also, you are offering them an opportunity to:

•Meet and spend time with like-minded people

•Be a part of a team

- Welcome your PSAs into your team

Give your PSAs a warm welcome on their first day at SFI. Your welcome letter may make the difference by making them feel valued. Your effort of welcoming your PSAs gives them a good feeling and encourages them to become involved. It also provides the start for developing a relationship, which helps you function as their Team Leader and acts to cement commitment in the future. Welcoming your PSAs on their first day is a job that should be taken seriously.

- Be open and clear about the mission, principles, and goals of your organization

Your PSAs have to know what they are committing to. They want to join an organization if they share similar principles and goals. Make sure that everyone in your SFI organization is familiar with its mission, principles, and goals.

As a Team Leader, talk openly why you care about these principles and goals. As an example, you might tell your PSAs how your life would have been different if your upline/sponsor/co-sponsor/a2a friend had not committed his/her attention to you when you first joined or indecisive about SFI.

- Become a model of commitment yourself

Your PSAs look to you as their Team Leader if you’re committed. If you care about your SFI business, it will show in your attitudes and actions. People will watch to see how you act, and they will follow your lead. If they can count on you, it is more likely that you will be able to count on them. If you stay late to send out a mailing to them or be prompt in your replies, they will more likely follow your lead. Commitment is contagious.

- Give your PSAs motivation and recognition

Your PSAs need to feel that they are making a significant contribution in order to feel committed. They need to feel respected and appreciated in order to stay connected and committed to your SFI organization.

For example you can motivate your PSAs and encourage them to take action with a contest based on VPs or level of rank. You can award prizes for the most VP accumulated in a single month or for every affiliate who achieves a top five ranking in their class.
