There are many ways to get listed in the search engines, both free and paid.

The fastest way is to pay using something like Google Adwords. This is the easiest way as well and possibly the only way to get listed for ultra competitive keywords. It can be quite expensive sometimes so be sure to set your daily budgets correctly.

Another way is to use article marketing. Choose a keyword or phrase and write a quality article about it. Publish it on your website as well as high PR article directories. Make sure to use a good spinning tool or write several versions of the same article so you're not posting duplicate content.

Videos are another way to get listed in search engines. Again, choose a keyword or phrase to rank for, make a video and post it to video sites like youtube and vimeo. When you post it there's a section to add keywords. Choose these wisely and you'll get a lot of traffic. Choose poorly and you'll suffer.

There are many other ways to get listed, but they all are based around keywords and phrases. Research these as much as possible. If you get your keyword wrong, it won't matter what you do to market it. You can never do too much researching of your keywords. The more you do, the more success you see.

The secrets are a lot simpler than many will believe.

1. Get a self hosted Wordpress Blog.

2. Install the All In One SEO plugin.

3. Read the instructions on using the plugin so you know what information you need to pull from your content.

4. Write informative post about the things people are interested in and searching for in your niche.

5. Use a ping service like Feed Shark to announce new post to blog search engines.

6. Do all of the above every 3-5 days when possible and no less often than 2 post a month.

7. Make sure to enable sharing buttons in Wordpress Jetpack so people can easily link to your content from their social media profile.

8. Keep writing great content so other authors will link to it as a source in their own post.

In my experience there are two "natural" ways to get on page one of a search page.

1. Unique daily visitors. I know it sounds odd but to get high in the rankings your site must be BUSY. There are countless Traffic Exchanges you can join for free for this.

2. Update content. I say again update content. Visitors to your site need and like to see fresh material. Adding a forum with interesting topics keeps regular traffic. Adding interesting daily tips, quotes, holiday quips etc. use your imagination. Updating weekly is also an option if daily is not possible for you. Make it feel friendly and personal and yet professional. Add a streaming video or music box there are free sites out there where you can get those too. Put a few of the SFI and TripleClicks banners on the page.

Now there are also paid professionals and website upgrades you can pay for that use their own methods to bring you up in the ranks. Just be careful and get recommendations from the many professional marketing experts right here on SFI your Team Leaders that use this type of recruiting.

Link your sites to as many sites as you possibly can. Submit your site to some spider crawlers. There are several ways to get a spider to weave a web to your site. If you already have a blog or another website that is indexed, put a link to your new website, make it big and bold. You want people to see it, to click it, and to visit your site!
Ask somebody with an indexed website to link to your website. Submit your website to popular social bookmarking sites like Digg and Stumbleupon. Submit your site to Open Directory Project (ODP)? ODP is a multilingual open content directory of links that is reviewed and maintained by volunteer editors.

I know I am repeating myself here. Include a link to your new site on your Facebook page and Twitter profile. In fact, put a link on every website you can! This will not only ensure you get indexed quickly, it will help you raise your search rank as well, through what's called Search Engine Optimization.
Make sure your meta tags are on your sites first page, include a sitemap on your page (spiders use these to read your page real quick to see what it is about), site description should be short, key words should be on your sites first page as well.
