I think at first glance the answer will be the regular hosted websites because they will definitely have more members and visitors. So you have more prospective customers there and the turnover will likely be high.
On a second thought the blog is also a potentially profitable means to advertising. The difference is that in your blog everything is about what you post. But in a regular hosted site there are many people advertising about related topics also. So the turnover here is more likely to be shared. So depending on how popular your blog is, you can profit more from it.
Also some regular sites hav rules about the frequency of advertising and the content of the ads being placed. In your blog however, you can post as often as you want . Thus there are fewer rules.
My advice is that, for a new blogger, the odds usually go to the regular hosted sites. But for a more popular blogger, your blog is the way to go.

Both are great for advertising SFI.
What makes it effective or not is what you post in it.
Making your posts stand out from the rest, make them attractive enough to make people want to find out more and also make them want to be a part of this great company.
Think about what attracted you to join and then try improve on it, add a little extra if possible.
All this will determine the effectiveness of your determination to be successful at SFI.

Most importantly to remember is to always be honest in your post's, don't promise a rose bush if you can only give a rose.

I believe a website is more suitable for advertising than a blog because the content is more direct and straight forward and if it is just a one page thing like a landing or a splash page then that is enough to capture a person's attention. A website I think is more effective if of course it has your name and picture because that is how prospects know who is advertising to them and who will be their sponsor when they sign up.

A Blog I consider that this should be used for educating your prospects after they sign up because in this kind of setting you can put allot more information and keep updating as new info is available. The point is if you try to advertise with a blog too much information will overwhelm people and confuse as opposed to a website that is straight to the point is easier for people to understand what they are signing up for.

I love this question. I have done blogs and purchased websites. Unless your website is an actual advertising site search engines are probably not going to list you very high on their list. Blogs on the other hand are loved by search engines.

What we search for on the internet is information. That would be the case world wide. So fill your blog with useful information and use the key words that are relevant to your blog. Be sure not to stuff your blog with key words, rule of thumb is 10 key words or phrases every one hundred words. Use those mostly in the first paragraph and last paragraph. Most people will just scan your blog and will usually read the first and last paragraph.

Search engines will crawl your site looking for key words and phrases that are relevant to you blog.

Unless you are going to pay to advertise your blog it will take at least 4 to 6 months to get on the first two pages of the search engines. Depending on how much useful content you have.

My website from way back in 2007 fits right in as does several of my blogs.

The trick here is to just put a cloaked Trippleclicks and SFI link at the bottom of the pages.

Write on a subject such as advertising tips,how you started working on-line,business communities,social communities,traffic exchanges,scams,BBB ratings,suggestions and tips.

You do not have to be flashy or shout SFI.Just the link will do it.

I have actually found them both to be useful with a website you can place permanent Banners to all of your gateways. Expalning the different benifits of each individual site ie: SFI, TripleClicks, Wave3 and your T-Connect page and don't forget the Games and Music Competitions.
Now as for the Blog you have the ability to post Daily Banners, TripleClick Specials, Games Special Auctions coming up or Special Products from your T-Connect or ECA pages. I also post items in my blog about items I like from other ECAs with my URL embedded Hope this helps you find that really they both have different but great benefits

As by adding a blog to your Peronal Web site, you are creating a way to get additional traffic. You’ll get direct traffic from your posts, which get indexed by the search engines and drive traffic to your site from searches. And, you will get indirect traffic from your other site’s pages ranking well in the search engines because they have links pointing to them from your blog posts.

You will be regularly adding fresh content to your site, which search engines love, thereby creating more ways to be found in the search engines at the same time. And each post provides a new chance to create a link or two to other pages and blog posts on your site, thereby boosting ranking of those pages.

But you can build a Website with WordPress, so in a way you’re creating both a blog and a website at the same time, because once you install and set up the WordPress platform, you can set it so that you have one main homepage designated as the static home page.

You can design the site with a theme that has a static home page, two or three columns with header and footer and your visitors won’t even know if they’re on a WordPress powered site or a static website.

In my opinion, if you’re new to online marketing and you’re not sure about a blog vs. website, use WordPress.

If you’re serious about online marketing, you want something that’s going to present well, look professional and if you’re looking for a static website format, you can still use WordPress to do that.

I believe that both are effective.I use both .I blog on my blog daily and on my website I have pages and post about SFI.My post on my website are mostly products available at my store just to give perspectives an insight of products for them.I advertise my products like Amazon or Ebay.
On my blog I blog about every aspect of SFI I use the launchpad for topics and the site map as well.I post products on my website so its like a store so do you see why both are important and you can connect both.I am trying to gain trust by being honest and informing perspectives what are the benefits available to them at SFI as a PRM or PSA.

Your SFI business will be a success if you can talk more about the product on your blog or hosted website and convince please to sign up. Once they sign up you need to ensure that you support them at maximum as this is very import in your business. Bringing traffic to the website could be achieved by using good search engine optimization tools if you are hosting your own website. The blog could be a smaller version of brining traffic.
