For example in health and wellness category, instead of selling socks to everyone, you could focus on selling socks that are specific to those affected by diabetes. Although niche markets are comprised of a much smaller pool of customers, these shoppers tend to be much more involved with the products you’re selling.

Both being an ECA and referring an ECA will be more beneficial. These are two income streams among the many ways to earn in SFI.

If you have your own ECA store, you earn from the profits of the products you are selling. If your PSAs and PRMs buy from your own ECA store, in addition to the profit you are making from selling your own products, you also earn 45% of CV Direct Commissions. Plus you also earn all the VP attached to the products bought by your PRMs. Take note you don’t earn commissions and VP, if you, yourself, purchase from your own store; you earn only the profits from your product sales.

It is wonderful if you have the capacity to represent yourself as an affiliate in both roles - an ECA representative and an affiliate that creates a referral of shoppers for other ECA services associated with the TripleClicks store.

Being both enables an affiliate to leverage the benefits from each which are taught within the first month of joining SFI as an active affiliate.

Being in both roles has benefits to each affiliate. I would think the following question would be helpful for all to consider: Which role am I able to effectively perform now? The answer may be "be an ECA and referral support to other ECA's" or "I am only able to take on the role as a referral support".

There may be affiliates who are unable to consider either role due to possibly not feeling adequate to take on either position - nevertheless, the ECA referral program would be one of great benefit to those who are uncertain as can absolutely benefit from the ECA program by learning how to network and make referrals for other ECA members.

It is necessary to consider what we-each affiliate, feels comfortable with and then go and do it. When we are comfortable with doing a task, such as being an ECA or making referrals for other ECA's with TripleClicks - these tasks will be done effectively and with success.

I would definitely say try both!

On one hand, you have your own store with products that you can promote and profit from. Not to mention that you get 1VP for each listing (every VersaPoint counts!).

On the other hand, you will be referring ECA's where you also get to earn a lifetime commission on all of their sales as well. I think that they will appreciate the help from you promoting their products as well.

In my opinion, I say that you set up your own store and get it going to earn profits, then go after other businesses who are interested in selling online.

I'l say the two combined together will be beneficial.
You having your own store as an ECA boosts your own personal business to be a success expanding it and at the same time earning from it as an additional income to you.
Coincidentally referring ECAs cause you to pull in additional 10% commission for life from your referred ECA as a residual income plus aids you in your requalification or qualification to a higher rank due to the 100vp given for each approved ECA.
Referring ECAs and becoming an ECA boost your business and your income by increasing your take in, in the Tripleclicks Executive Pools via your increased referrals thus your upgrade in rank.

You can do both. In fact, you should do both. But since your question asks which one is more beneficial, I would say referring ECAs would be more beneficial to you.

Why? Because each sale you make you will get income. But with 24 hours in a day and only 1 you, can you really cope even if you get orders everyday for the next year?

Referring ECAs sort of distribute the load a bit. You still get income (10% of CV), but if you sign up 10 ECAs and each of those ECAs make 1 sale everyday for the next year, It's like 10 times you doing it by yourself. So imagine if you sign up 20, 30 or 50 ECAs. You might decide to shut down your own ECA in the end. Maybe.

3. Setting up your own ECA provides you with experience to help others become great ECA members.
4. How do you get an ECA? Small and medium business people are great targets. Members of your SFI group that make crafts they want to sell. Stores that sell unusual items that are peculiar to your country do well as an ECA. Friends and people you know who sell on EBAY, Amazon and other web stores make good ECA members. They can transfer their products to SFI in bulk. Check websites from your country and approach those members to use ECA also.
