You are quite right - FaceBook is overcrowded with online job ads. Facebook however is the biggest social media and is one of the most frequented site there is. That is why there are many online job ads there. They are getting results. Using a fishing analogy 'you fish where the fish are biting.'

I would say dont be in a hurry to go elsewhere. SFI is not a job so dont advertise it as a job. You are building a business, so advertise under the business section - business opportunity - business on offer.

Have a look also at FaceBook paid advertising not just posting you ads on pages for free. Free postings are quickly superseded by other postings so you are constantly having to post ads to stay on top. With the paid ads however you do not have this problem and your ads exposure is guaranteed.

If you really want to move away from FaceBook, there are many options open to you. You can join traffic exchanges, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, classified sites etc.. These are all readily available online. Some are free and some you have to pay for.

The best is to start a Blogger blog and website. It is free for all GMAIL users.

1. On the website create a mini-shop for you with photos and links to TripleClicks. You can create more than one mini-shop. In this case it would be ideal to create a main site (your Head Office site) to make it easier to promote all sites in one go.
2. Use your blog to promote new features on SFI and TripleClicks with invites under banners.
3. Shorten your two (or more) Blogger URLs with goo.gl for ease of use.
4. Promote both your blog and your website(s) short links on Facebook and/or Twitter and/or any other social media site you are using. The best is open end advertisements that ends with "Inbox me for details." in stead of a link. If you get a message or a comment asking for details then MESSAGE the details to them. Remember to use the short links to make it easier, especially with Twitter where space is at essence.
5. Join Traffic Exchanges and different mailer programs (safelists, viral mailers, etc.) and promote your sites. If you can, upgrade to get free credits every month to automatically promote your sites.

You can advertise on other main social media. Nowadays, social media has gradually become a cornerstone of marketing strategy, which should be every SFI members' tools to interact with consumers. Besides facebook, there are other social medias like LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+.

If advertising in LinkedIn, your ads are almost always seen by business-minded individuals, like everyone here. By doing so, LinkedIn would be a social platform with conversion rate.

If twitter, it allows you to target people based on their current interests. Every time some one sends out a tweet, you have the ability to target them via social media advertising. The other way is to hone in on a particular user, finding them and targeting their set of followers to extend your ads' reach.

If the google, which is a search engine. You can use your marketing tactics there. Google+ features "+Post ads" that post on Google's Display Network will inevitably increase the reach of your advertisements considerably.

All in all, it depends on you to choose the right way and tactic to achieve your advertisement campaign.

Well, I do not totally agree. It depends on each region. Facebook works, especially if you pay for advertising. Remember that Facebook is allowed to advertise only store products TripleClicks. Marketing to the SFI site is not allowed.
However, there are many other places to advertise that they are not paid. For example Twitter (now there is Twitter ads that are paid).
You can also advertise on sites like TSU.co or generate traffic from PTC sites like Clixsense, Trafficmonsson, among many others.

Yes, FACEBOOK now is overcrowded but still you have to post it for more chances.

Some of my friends told me this way is OK too.
GOOGLE and BING both offer a FREE listing for local business advertising.
Yahoo charges for local listing, but you get listed on a lot more if you buy their service.
The service called Yahoo Localworks, cost 29.99 a month and lists you in 50 directories including
YahooLocal, Yelp, White Pages, Bing, Mapquest and more..

You can advertise from your website to Pinterest, a growing userfriendly platform. The big advantage is once you have pinned a picture with the url to your website attached it travels for months and will be repinned without having to work a lot for it.
Other great places to advertise are Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Graigslist and even Google+.

The only thing is to limit yourself. Do not spam. For Instagram for example it is ok to post one ad per day.

With a blog on wordpress you can also make your own ads and place them in a side bar.

Advertising on all these places will be very successful. When you have limited time you can use all kind of systems to schedule all your ads once a week for example. Connect all your platforms to Hootsuite, to name one and scheduling becomes an easy job.

Even with a simple but professional looking profile on about.me you are reaching a whole new network of soloentrepreneurs waiting to connect with you.

The possibilities are endless. How can this get any better?!

ALL advertising is good and potentially beneficial...the flyers you print out and leave at your local laundromat or supermarket may well find their way into the hands of someone looking for EXACTLY what you are offering. Business cards left with the tip at a restaurant can have the same results.

Paid advertising, of course, opens new venues, but based on your Facebook question, let's focus on FREE advertising.

If you haven't done so already, you'll want to create an "online presence." This is easily achieved by starting a blog or a website in a niche you are familiar with and getting your search engine to recognize you. Create your online signature that you will use EVERYWHERE, in emails, forum postings, etc. to drive traffic to your website or blog (there are many FREE ways to drive traffic, but that is a whole 'nother topic of conversation).

Remember to incorporate other free venues like Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr into your advertising campaign.
