Whether you are a leader to: your family, a sports team, or in the office, you are a model. Your followers look to you for their cues as to how to act.
You can quickly see this in children. Children act like their parents. They use the same bad language. They have the same attitudes.
In the office you will see it too. If the boss/supervisor/director/president has poor attitudes, the staff will too. If s/he is kind, patient, hard working, positive or motivated, the staff will be too.
Whatever you want your followers to be and do, you must model for them.
Most people think like this: “If my leader does not, I don't need to either.”
