I believe that setting goals is what most everyone does on a daily basis.
Most people call it planning their day. They decide what they are going to do for the day, the week, next month, when they will take a vacation, and what they want to do next year.
It's important that we set goals for our life and work. SFI is your job, either full or part time, so it's important to set your goals.
You will never succeed if you don't know what you want and how to get there. This means you must decide how you are going to advance in SFI and TripleClicks.
You will need a goal for advertising, marketing, a budget and most important how and when you will be a success in your business.
You can get all the information you need to help you make a sound decision on SFI. By reading all the training, using the marketing tools, reading the ASK SC answers, the Forum and IAHBE. You will always find a new idea.

I'm happy to see that SFI is allowing us to receive a VP daily on the Goals tab when you set your daily goals. This helps to focus on what needs to be done.
It also helps to get us in a habit of writing down what we need and want to become a success.

Setting goals is a fundamental component to both your short-term and long-term success on SFI. The basic reason for this is that you can’t get where you are trying to go until you clearly define where that is. Goals help you focus and allocate your time and resources efficiently, and they can keep you motivated when you feel like giving up. First of all let's us understand what is 'A Goal' and 'Goal Setting'.
A goal is the aim or object towards which an endeavour is channelled or targeted. It is the terminal point of a journey or race therefor, it is close ended in nature.
Why ''Goal Setting'' is the act or proccess of establishing/laying out targets to be achieve.
(1) Therefor, an affilliate must set goals to succeed because they serve as a guide for actions
(2) Goals help us to measure one's performance of success or failure against set goals for the month or year.
(3) Goals help an affilliate to set up control on his/her activities and to correct deviation.
(4) Goals help to bring about proper planning and organisation of one's actions as an affilliate.
(5) It brings about direction of actions.

Goal setting is very very important to be successful in any part of your life. From personal to professional life, You must have a goal in mind to move forward. Some of the benefits can be outlined below with respect to SFI

1. When we join SFI, we fill our goal after 6 months. Let us consider I set a goal to be STL at the end of 6 months. So, I will start working till few months and see how far I have crossed towards my goal. If I am not moving well, I can re access my work and make a better plan to achieve it. Hence, The goal keeps me aware of my progress.

2. Always keep a realistic goal rather than a too high goal. Realistic goals can be achieved and boosts your confidence whereas the virtual goals can hit your confidence.

3. Now after the entry of new monthly goals and specially daily goals, you can now access your everyday improvement with SFI. You can realize which exact plan working well for you in a daily and monthly basis.

4. Setting a goal keeps you focused and helps you to avoid unnecessary diversions. Staying focused is one of the key thing towards success.

If anyone had asked me this question a year ago, I would of jumped up and shook that persons hand and said,

" Thank you as I've wondered the same thing?".

Everyone mentioned Goals but no one asked why they are so important or if they did? I wasn't in a place to listen.
That was the crucial missing ingredient to my success. I plodded along ok but nothing seemed to get me moving fast enough to cause my adrenaline to pump.

One day a member of my up line wrote a note on my genealogy page that stopped me in my tracks. He simply wrote,

" 1st Goal achieved, 2nd nearly there".

It was a statement of his personal elation telling me he had reached a stage he wanted to be and now moving on.
The lightning bolt hit me and for nearly 2 hrs I wrote constantly a list of what I wanted in my life. From getting an extra hour with my family to trips I had only dreamt of going on. The list was enormous and when I read it back I nearly laughed at my own need for gratification. Another hour went by shortening the list or fine tuning as I tell my affiliates now. It is the fine tuning mixed with the wide dreams of a thinker that formulates the impossible into the possible.

SFI is no different from any list you ever made, from Santa's wish list to the stepping stones to you're success.
The great Pele scored goals often on a playing field but not before he dreamed one day that he would.
I say dream to your hearts content then formulate the fine tuning to your solid future.

Setting goals in SFI is very important.  Every human advancement starts from a spot.  Even a tree in the forest strives to grow. Stagnant water stinks.  
Goal setting in SFI will hep one in the following ways:
1). It is like taking a shots at a spot , not in the dark. There is an aim, a focus ,something to to pursue, an expectation that you daily looked at and nurture.
2). it helps to measure ones  achievement in SFI
3).one  can appraise oneself  at the end of day to see how well one has done in the leadership board.
4.) . It helps in self criticism , which is the foremost in self improvement
5). One can easily analyse if ones  method is good enough, and if not satisfied, then it calls for  a  change  of tactics.
it is said that a life without ambition is static and a static one is definitely stunted which will ultimately lead to a not so satisfactory ending.All these is applicable in SFI

I will start by answering this question with a question. If there are no goals, how will you know what you are working towards?

To be successful, we must first know what we are working towards. We must separate our goals into "Long-term Goals and "Short-term Goals".
For most of us, the long-term goal may be to achieve financial freedom by earning enough to fund retirement. This monthly figure may vary from person to person. Setting one's short-term goals are particularly important in becoming successful at SFI because they allow you to gauge your progress towards the long-term goal. You will be able to identify what methods work and which ones don't and then you are able to make the necessary adjustments.

It is very important that these set goals are REALISTIC. It would be absurd for anyone to think that in their first month at SFI they will become a millionaire. Know what your capabilities are and set your goals accordingly.
