Setting goals helps you to know where you want to go and how to get there.
When you have a clear idea of what you want to accomplish. When you know hat you hope to accomplish it makes getting there that much easier.
Most great leaders write out there goals and keep them in the front of their minds.
If you don't know where you are going than it's harder to get there.
Goals help you to better know how to accomplish what you want.

It is important to set goals to achieve success in SFI or pretty much anything..Let's discuss this with a simple example...

Short term goal:
If we run a 100 metre race, we wont run only 50 metre but we run and finish that 100m at any task... So if the goals are set,we dont stop halfway and we reach our target...
Since the target is only 100m ,we dont run more than that..Likewise when you reach your goal,you won't move forward unless you set another goal...
Moreover,in 100m race we run as fast as we can, because its a short distance race... This is the short time goal and anyone can reach it if they are fast....


Long term goal:
If the race is a marathon then the distance is huge..Here speed won't matter only the perseverance and consistency will help in winning..This is compared to achieving the long term goal..If a person speeds up and wastes all energy at the beginning itself,they lose at the end..So, to achieve long term success in SFI, one needs to be consistent and wait till they learn everything about it and then they can pick up their pace and win at te end..

Like in everything you do in life and in every business, there are always goals that you can set and consider some steps on how you can reach that targets. Sometimes setting goals is overlooked way to reach your aspirations, but you can see that the most successful marketers and Team Leaders in SFI have short and long term goals and that they are focus on them.

Setting goals is not just about writing down something. It includes careful monitoring and control periodically to ensure you are following what you wrote down. That is the reason why SFI have added a review of the goals tab. You will not earn your 1VP from the goals tab until you state what you have done on that day you meet your goal

Hence while setting your goals, remember to make them specific, measurable, attainable/achievable, realistic and timed bound. It is called the SMART Principle. Also Make sure you also Keep It Short and Simple. It is called the KISS Principle

A popular statement says "If you do not know where you are going any road will take you there". That suggests you can take any route in your quest to "nowhere" because it does not matter.

In SFI and in any venture where you are serious, you must have a goal. The goal can change over time, be replaced or enlarged but it must be present. It should be challenging but achievable and if it is a large goal, it should be capable of being broken down so that progress can be measured.

As has been said many times, SFI is not a get rich overnight scheme. It takes patience and application. If an affiliate has no goal and cannot gauge his/her progress, that person may become frustrated and give up after a while, when in fact they may be within reach of a turning point.

Goals give us focus and direction. Our own goals allow us to move at our own pace rather than just comparing our progress with others. Having SMART (Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound) goals chart our route to Success.

Without setting goals, just like travelling without any destination. If you don't know your destination point then you can not plan in the best way. You will wander here and there and finally you will realize you have wasted lots of time and money, but have not reached anywhere.


So, if you want to be suceessful. Set a big goal, then split it to many sub-goals. And plan the most economic way to achieve sub-goals one by one. When you achieve all sub-goals, you will be astonished, how easily, you have also achived big goal.

Because it will keep you on your toes and help you to achieve the result you are aiming for in SFI. In the beginning of SFI you don't know exactly what you can set as your doable goals so you start with something maybe bigger or smaller than you really find doable later. And when you see that, maybe after a few days, you just adjust your goals accordingly.

Remember to make your goals so high that you have to better your self every month but not that high that it will be unrealistic to reach them. Fine tune the buggers so they keep you on your toes but will not break your spirit because of unrealistic expectations. Step by step you will get closer to them and when you reach them you put them a little higher to better your self and in that way you will grow from day to day, and after a few months you can look back and say'' wow, I did all this! and in so little time''

"If you fail to plan you plan to fail", is an old adage. I believe this to be true. Setting goals gives you something concrete to aim for. Set your goals small at first. Something that you know you can do. Increase as you are able to do comfortably.

Here is some advice:

1. You need to have some direction in which you are heading or you will go off in 10 different directions at the same time. It leads to confusion and frustration.

2. Set up realistic goals with the help of your sponsor, co-sponsor, or Up line.

3. Make both short term and long term goals to keep you on track.

4. Have someone like your sponsor, friend, or family member keep you accountable.

5. If you go off track, get help and get back in the saddle!! Don't give up!!

6. Celebrate when you reach that goal. Decide ahead of time what your reward will be.

7. Finally, take it easy and have fun!
