To me FREE advertising is much more beneficial than paid advertising. From my experience, I have learned that whether its free advertising or paid, you never know the affiliate gonna active or not....Then why should I pay for advertising then???

1. You purchase paid to click advertising, but you must be knowing those who all clicks are just clicking to earn money. So even if they sign up they never love to work in a long term business like SFI

2. Paid to sign up are very common for getting more sign ups. But have you ever realized that these are the fellows who sign up for everything comes in their way to get paid. So how can you expect these guys to build your business.

3. In comparison, we get so many affiliates through facebook and twitter who work like a real desiring affiliate looking for long term business. These guys sign up in their wish not just for getting paid.

4. You advertise whole through the free classified ads where people read it completely and join if they are ready to work in long run.....

So, Now you must realize, whether it is good to get sign ups by paying or it is better to get active sign up by free advertising....

If you're just starting out and have little or no money, free advertising will help you get started, but you will have to understand that anything that's free comes with it's own set of restrictions and rules. For instance, you may only get to send one ad per week, while paid members can send every day. So you have to join at least 5 or 6 free sites to get the same advertising which takes more of your time.

Most people use their tabbed browsers to login their safelists and traffic exchanges. At least this way you can cut down on some of the time it takes. And once you have a few affiliates to work with and start earning a little bit, you can always upgrade or buy credits for your page views.

One of the great ways to advertise your business is using free Classifieds. There are a huge range of these on the internet many of which are FREE to use. People always say a picture can say a thousand words. Your advert will be one of thousands so anything you can use to make yours stand out is a great idea. These ads usually expire after 30 - 60 days so keep your eye out to make sure you renew them. The content of your ad is up to you, many businesses will have examples in their businesses training section. If they don't contact the person who introduced you to the business and ask them for help.

Remember if your advertising an on-line business that is an MLM or Franchise you may have to check with your company to make sure your advert content complies with your companies advertising standards.

Also check the rules of the site you wish to advertise on. Some sites many not allow advertising of MLM's or franchises.

Having placed your ad it is a good idea to use some sort of "Ad Tracking" system to keep stats on your ads hits. Many of the sites have this feature already built in. It is good business sense to focus your energies on the sites that offer you the best returns.

If you can not then there are free ways to advertise. What most people are looking for is a silver bullet approach to advertising. There is no such thing.

No matter which form of advertising you use, you will need to test, retest, tweak, and retweak. Fine tune and readjust. There is no easy way out. One thing for sure, free advertising is much slower than paid advertising. Paid advertising can send you out of business before you get started good. So what's the solution?

The solution to the dilemma between free and paid advertising is to use a combination of both to balance your budget. This way you will start to see results from your advertising sooner than later and you won't go bankrupt trying to do it. You can even co-opt the cost involved and you can co-opt free advertising as well so that the collective efforts of many will produce better results for the advertising.

what a great question!

In my honest opinion I feel both are best. my reasoning is sometimes an ad on a free site can be upgraded to a paid ad to be a featured ad even though there are hundreds of free ads on that site having yours up on top so it is seen first can really improve the odds of the potential PSA to see it more often and we all know it takes anywhere from 5-10 pageviews of your ad before anyone clicks on it or not (some less some more).

But I have had the exact same results from both free and paid it is just a matter of preference and having a few extra dollars to buy the upgrade.

Personally I still prefer all my ads to be free because of my budget, but when I have a little extra cash I spend it on ad space on select sites that I know are high traffic sites that will produce the best results for my campaign.

so to summarize one is just as good as the other its just a matter of finding the right places to place your ad to get the best results

My advice on this matter is going to be quite simple, since I have been on both sides of this fence.

I believe EVERY affiliate should have some FREE advertisements somewhere; whether they are rotating banners, advertisements in Craigslist, on Google ad-words, something. FREE advertisements are necessary no matter what - so it shouldn't even be an issue - get FREE advertisement.

Should you get paid advertisement is a better question. Rule of thumb for paid advertisement - if you don't expect to make back 150% of what you spent on the advertisement, it isn't worth it. Example: if you spend $100 on advertisements - it was a good investment if your return will be at least $150. Anything below $100 return is a waste of your advertisement budget.

Ad vertere (Latin) means "to turn toward." Advertising is a form of communication for marketing to encourage consumers to buy a product. The consumers takes a positive action. The objective of advertising is to promote a product and the consumer uses the product. A satisfied consumer also tells to others about the product.
There is no dilemma between Free advertising and Paid advertising. One has to decide where to start with.
If the funds are low it is better to use free advertising. After finding new resources it is better to start paid advertising.
Then if the budget allows start with paid advertising. Based on the results it is better to take up free advertising.
In my opinion free or paid advertising are two sides of the same coin. So it is better to use both methods to reap good results.

But in addition to that, I will say that self advertisement and communications is much more beneficial to promote SFI and Tripleclicks. It is free but needs time and efforts.

By self advertisement, I mean the advertising that is done by yourself including distributing flyers, post-cards, and communicate to friends and family. In this way, you can build better relationship with your customers (SFI affiliates and Tripleclicks members that you refer) from the beginning and convinced them in an efficient manner as you know the most about SFI than the other hired advertisers.
