When you receive inactive CSAs, chances are that you will first need to change your attitude from "drat, I got a bunch of losers" to "I wonder how many are just needing a great co-sponsor?"
An inactive CSA is an affiliate whose sponsor has not been able to get him started in SFI. It may be the sponsor's inactivity, but it may be several other reasons, also.
1) There are people who's income goals can be met with what they get from PTC and they have no intention of becoming an active affiliate with us. They do not read or respond to their sponsor's welcome letters or weekly emails.
2) There are the tire kickers who want to take a look at SFI but make their decision against doing it before they have examined the opportunity enough to really know how it works. These people have already shown that they are lacking patience and persistence and belief. If they don't want to believe that this is a legitimate opportunity for them, they never will see it. But they may read your emails.
3) There are those not in the habit of reading and get scared off when they open the To Do List. Or they don't even get that far. These people should receive short easy notes telling them how to begin and reassuring them that you will help guide them and and answer all of their questions.
The best way to handle these inactive CSAs is to treat them all alike since you can't tell which group they are in until you get to know them, which is unlikely as long as they are inactive. When you have written enough short, easy to read, friendly, helpful emails, you will begin to see a few approaching you for help and the faith to believe that this is the real thing.
One thing that you need to remember: no matter how inactive the CSA's sponsor seems, the sponsor and his upline have money and time invested in this CSA and he is still in their team. No matter what, he is not your PSA and not fully in your team. You have been assigned to encourage him and guide him through the getting started process. You are not his sponsor. You are just filling in for his sponsor during a time of the sponsor's weakness.
