Good & Very important question as we as a Team Leader get at least 2 CSAs whenever we upgrade. They may be active or inactive. If they are active, its our good luck but if they are inactive, it becomes our imminent responsibility to see that we contact them and assure them to guide, support & help in building their SFI business. I use the following method:

1. I click on their name and read their profile & send them a default CSA welcome letter.

2. I use CSA mailer to send them weekly messages.

3. I use Instant Message from Genealogy Menu page.

4. If I find there is a green rectangle in front of their mail I use their email address to convey my messages.

5. If I see a white rectangle in front of their mail, I consider they have not yet confirmed their email. They may be just tire kickers. But I "google" search their name & find them somewhere else on the Internet. Then I connect them and inform them that I am their Co-Sponsor on SFI and willing to support, help and guide in building their SFI business provided they become active. I have been successful in more than 50% cases.

6. Once they are in touch with me. I give them my Facebook, Twitter, & Skype links to exchange my SFI promotion methods.

7. I also tell them that SFI is not a Sprint but a Marathon that they should start running from the day one joins.

8. I tell them to do three things:

----GET STRATED
----READ SFI BASICS
____READ LAUNCH PAD AGAIN and AGAIN

9. Finally I advise them never to quit.

Ah that's a very good question. The best thing to do is to keep continuing to work in SFI as you are doing. A lot of people may think "Aww man. I have inactive CSAs. Not Cool." But it's actually a good thing to have a lot of inactives because one day, the inactive CSAs might actually come back to SFI months later and want to start over a new chapter in SFI.

Keep continuing to do your best to grow your SFI business by continuously following the SFI 3 Step Basic Plan. Find and recruit 5 serious PSAs, and your 5 serious PSAs will find their 5 and those five will find their five and so on. It continues to muliply.

Don't worry too much about CSAs because they are just "bonuses" in this business. Think of CSAs as the outside part of a bulls eye target. But think of PSAs as the inside of the bulls eye target. Your PSAs are the heart and soul of your SFI business. Focus on them and focus on trying to obtain Team Leader every month if you can. CSAs shall eventually add to your roster. If you get active ones, you're fortunate. If you get inactive ones, you're still fortunate. Don't give up on them. They might just come back after seeing they have someone "new" to guide them.

Continue to send out your Genealogy/CSA messages out once a week. Some CSAs might read it on their mail and some might not, but don't let stop you from doing what you're doing in SFI. Continue to march forward and you shall see the light.

Think of this as a goldmine or a diamond mine either way it is the same thing. Looking for and active affiliate (PSA or CSA) is like looking for gold, you spend days, that turn into weeks, and weeks that turn into months and the months turn into about a year or more, here is the point, it takes a long time for miners to find the gold or diamond they are looking for but it takes lots of perseverence.

You have to use your geneology report as a filter to clean out all the dirt and junk to see if a gold nugget comes out(an active affiliate). This process is just repetitive, everymonth you get affiliates in your geneology but it will take a while to strike gold.

You want to know how to get inactive affiliates to become active on SFI? The answer is you use them for practice, you send them emails anywhere from one to two or three times a week, to share important information and powerful lessons that you learn and that is all you can do on your part, it is up to them to read your emails and respond, some may respond and some may not. What I am trying to say here is that you cannot force them to be active, all you can do is check up on them to see which ones are active and which ones are not, the ones that are not then you simply cannot work with them they have to do their part, so all you have to do is keep on waiting and doing your own stuff to grow your business and soon you will find a diamond.

I received $8 in commission with my new CSA's in November. So good CSA's do come now and then.

You might do this about inactive CSA's, and other Affiliates.

Look to see if they have affiliates.
How often if at all, are they logging in, and when they do, are they getting any points.

I have seem many CSA's with no downline. I have noticed one in particular that for 6 months logs in occasionally and gets points. Why would he do that? Is it a game to him? There are a lot of more interesting "games" to play online. He must be wanting something, much like any other affiliate that is doing better.

As Co-Sponsors we try to encourage and provide them with information and inspiration to do the business.

They are worth money or possible money to me, and value as people with desires and dreams of something better.

I ask if they would be active, regularly, without any high expectation, so I will put them in my co-op to get them new PSA's to build their business upon.

It might seem my Return On Investment is low. But seriously what is $1 or $5 spent on active ECA's to get them going? Nada!

With this additional Support I hope to bring many inactive CSA's to regular Action!

When you receive inactive CSAs treat them like you would your PSAs and your active Ldownlines. First you are going to welcome them to the SI business. Let them know they have made the right business choice. Offer them your help and support through the genealogy mail you send each week. You can also tailor a special mail to your CSAs. Commend everyone for the effort they have placed in becoming a member of SFI. Commend those who have been working and achieving. Encourage those who have not yet started; let them know that as their co-sponsor, you are there to give them any assistance that they may need to learn the business. Encourage them to feel free to communicate with you. Do not give up on them because you don't know when they will change their minds and start working.
I have had experiences of CSAs who came to me blank,zero, nothing - like they had never even looked at the Affiliate center from they registered. I kept on sending mails and any motivational tips that I send to the others on my team. I now have some of those inactive ones becoming active now. Sometimes, the language barrier may be a hindrance. Keep on working with them nonetheless and your business will bear fruits.

Hi Keith,

I have had this experience ever since I became a EA2 in December last year ( in the second month after I joined). I am currently having the same problem. Frankly the issue is a bit complicated:

*In SFI, Affiliates are mass-enrolled. A click on the "Growth" tab will show you what I mean.

*This is like "shooting in the dark" but that's how the system works.

*When you do well month after month, you get CSAs awarded to you. Most of these are ill-informed or mis-informed or non-informed by the people who enrolled them. They generally think that SFI is the "California gold rush".

*You need to bend over backwards to "educate" them correctly about what SFI is all about. Next you have to write them messages exhorting them to do the minimum tasks to be done on SFI daily and earn their VPs, with minimum investment or no investment.

* Then week after week wait patiently, hoping that at least 5 of them would respond positively and do their stuff. But don't hold your breath ; it could be like pouring water on a rock.

* I, for one, do not offer any financial/material/monetary incentive to any of them, as a matter of principle, because, if I can afford to be EA2 consistently for the last one year,with absolute minimum investment, at least 5 of them can !( I have currently 5 PSAs and 72 CSAs).

Inactive CSA's is just a part of this business, unfortunately.

But each CSA is a chance to build your business more.

Each month, I receive a few active CSA's, but the majority are inactive. Some are even flagged for removal soon.

I immediately send a welcome message to my new CSA team members.
Then I send a personal email message to any CSA's that are red flagged. I let them know I am their new co-sponsor and my job is to help them become successful at SFI. I remind them of when they joined and their last log in and let them know there have been lots of changes that have happened with exciting things expected for the next year. I always include the SFI link and their ID.

From there, I select a few CSA's a day to send a personal email message. Basically just to let them know who I am and that I am here to help.

I always add a note to their affiliate snapshot of sending a personal email and the date I sent it. If one has a bad email, I note that as well with the date.

I have had several CSA's that were red flagged that are no longer flagged for removal. And even a few that have come back to check things out and contacted me for more information.

They say to work with your workers, but I refuse to give up on the others. Sometimes they just need someone to help explain it to them or explain it in other ways so they can understand.

CSA or PSA being inactive is a common problem in SFI community. How you deal with this challenge will determine how far you will go as you venture your SFI business. This might be a deciding factor between failure and success.

Think of the positive side about affiliate inactivity. An individual may be in search of a business that yields real income and SFI is one of the most well grounded money making opportunity online business of today. An individual did not just signed-up for nothing. Think also of the time and money invested in signing up an affiliate. Are you going to take these investments for granted? What could be the potential of an affiliate, once he/she understands, becomes passionate and committed in his/her true calling in SFI? We don’t know the exact reasons behind, why and what cause their inactivity. When I joined over ten years ago, I didn’t understand the SFI concept, didn’t get support from uplines and as a result, I seldom logged in.

If you understand that SFI is a long term commitment, then you will appreciate very much your affiliates, whether they are active or inactive. You will send them messages that build up their strength in working together as a team consistently. Even if I see CSAs assigned under me who have zero VP, not logged in since joining SFI, I will not give up on them but send them regular invitation to log in their homepage and see for themselves the great opportunity and how much fun SFI is. They will discover the warm atmosphere ( affiliates helping affiliates) in SFI Forum, the tons of information in Ask SC to help you build your business, TripleClicks' Pricebender Auctions, Games, products closeout and hot deals, Wave3 and so on.

Keep moving and never give up.

Every one always need time to study the system and understand. There is no inactive CSAs. I have had a CSA who was inactive but she was making a mailing list. According to her in order to succeed she needed a mailing list more than the Monthly Versa points.

From this perspective you will understand that such A CSA is good at selling and she is more interested in making sales and when she or he hits the ground both your Versa points and hers will explode.
So any CSA and PSA who joins our system are Just greatest opportunity to make money. What we need to know is to develop a long lasting relationship and be positive for example. If someone has a tight budget, instead of advising the person to put a standing order let the person buy a Co-op share because you are sure the person will benefit more with a co-op share

Advise the person to use free advertisement sites that have high returns like craiglist to advertise their gateways and make reasonable income. Once people have confidence in you and they know you understand what you are doing, they will Join you.

Always know that as a Co - Sponsor you are also a sponsor so make sure you act like one and many will wake up

I have the same approach to active and inactive ones.

First goes the welcome message, upon which I see if I get any answers for them. Second what I do, is that I see what every of them did in SFI, and how can become better. It takes few days, of course, depends on how many CSA's you have. Then I send a specialized TeamMail for every of them with steps and explanation of what they should do to get better in SFI. I expalin to them the prospect of SFI, explain them what I did and where I am now. If by then iI don't get an answer from them, then i put them a bit backwards (not forgeting them) and concentrate on active ones.

After I get answer of some of them, I place the biggest focus on them, but I still regulary send a weekly TeamMail to all of them with exact guidiles about many important things in SFI.

Who knows, maybe one day they will become active, and my effort trying to reactive them will payoff.
