Looking for the best type of businesses that we can send ECA Postcards to is both challenging as well a rewarding. There are heaps of them everywhere.

I think for newbies like me, novelty shops, Arts & Craft shops, book shops, dress shops, even hardware shops, are very good prospects to start with.

Shops that sell gourmet foodstuff and cookbooks are good ones too as well as bookshops selling rare and exclusive books would benefit from marketing their products online.

When marketing ECA, aim for business that sell or distribute tangible non-perishable goods. These will usually include dealers in arts and crafts; fabrics; electronic accessories; books (including eBooks) distributors, collectable items (such as coins; stamps, superstar and national memorabilia) and antiques; magazine publishers and bargain or used item dealerships.
Focus on small and upcoming businesses. Be enterprising enough to lookout for individuals whose talent is often overlooked because

At this point, you better think again in regards to the pure volume of mama & pop outlets which don't possess a existence and also compute the amount of money you could produce if you were this connect which hooked up his or her business using TripleClicks.

After you have checked out http://www.tripleclicks.com/ECA/Guidelines.php, to see what stores are prohibited by SFI, find small/medium local stores in your area that may or may not have an online presence and that can deliver small items throughout your country and the world. just explain what ECA is and give them the information. Keep checking back with these companies and keep looking for more. There even may be new ones beng established from time to time. Remember the Mom and Pop stores.

To my best opinion, the businesses to send ECA postcards to are those that sell products and services that SFI/Tripleclicks permit. Hence, first and foremost to have an idea of what businesses you can send the ECA postcards to, you should use your ECA gateway(e.g www.tripleclicks.com/x/ECA, where x=your tripleclicks ID#) as if you want to register as an ECA and then go to the section where you will find those products and services that SFI/Tripleclicks permit and those that SFI/Tripleclicks do not

Many will tell you to start in your own hometown, I think this is the wrong way to go about exploring ECA prospecting. Hometown prospecting is the right idea but throw that "smaller" thinking on a larger scale... Grab a phone book; put together a list of smaller towns, starting with ones within your region/county. From there do a little bit of research into the businesses these town already possess. I would categorize into two separate types:
(1) Towns that have larger scale departments

First of all, I would start where you live. Look for small to mid-sized businesses. Visit these stores and browse the merchandise if time allows. Do they sell consumable products? Gift type products? Functional products, like tools or furniture? Then ask yourself, are these products something I would buy online? Would you go back to this merchant to buy again? If you answered yes, then they are a good prospect. If they currently do business on EBAY then they would be an excellent prospect.

To determine the company to send ECA cards to, I would look for businesses in my local area that are small or medium sized, who are ready to ship within or outside the country and who sell items that are in vogue.. Small to medium sized businesses will be easier to approach as their structure is simpler and selling items in vogue means their chances of quick sales are higher thereby serving as motivation to them.
