The best way to win an auction is to pay attention to what others are doing. I watch the recent bidding history down in the bottom right hand corner of the screen as much as I watch the bidding timer. Count the number of bidders still active. If there are 5 or 6, let them compete amongst themselves, and wait until some of them have dropped out before jumping in. Ideally, you want just one or two other bidders involved.

You can also go through the latest winners list and figure out the best times to get good prices. They ofter coincide with the times fewer people are online, or when there is more than one auction for similar products running at the same time.

Also, have an idea of how much you are prepared to pay for the item, and be prepared to walk away if the price goes beyond your limit. And don't forget to factor in the price of the TCredits you use. It sometimes amazes me how many TCredits (at 29 cents each) someone will use to win an auction, although you do earn one action VP per bid (max 500/mo) as well as the MRP.

Hey, Very nice question and every affiliate will have this question in mind.

Apart from the strategy and tips given in the TripleClicks site itself i would like to share and give my tips and notes. I always considered Pricebenders auction as a Cricket game or a marathon race. If you are batting or taking part in the auction watch the ball till it comes to you, likewise just watch till you can decide to hit the bid button, Sometimes we should go for a kill in the beginning like in the cricket, First 15 overs or hitting in slog overs, you should go for a kill in the end. Also imagine you are running a marathon race, you should increase your speed accordingly with the competition in different phases and strength of yours. Hope now you have got the idea how an auction takes place. Now below i would like to give some tips.....

1. Always be ready with good Tcredits Balance in your account.
2. If you have not won any auction, First concentrate on 1st time winner auctions.
3. Next go for less than 9 win auctions.
4. Also watch time according to your country standards. The time where less participants and less competition, you have a greater chance of winning.
5. After winning couple of auctions go for your choice auctions i.e according to your requirement.( VersaPoints, Tcredits, Gadgets....Etc).
6.One more observation is Double MRP and No Auto bidder auctions will be usually lengthy and may face tough competition.
7. Be there till the end of that particular auction.
8. Beware of the waste bids.
9. Patience and perseverance is the key.
10.Don't forget me after the 1st win.

There are certain basics to follow when your attitude is that of a winner. Here are a few of those points to keep in mind.

- determination to win will drive you towards your win

This question is on every affiliate's mind! I'm very happy to share my experience in order to answer your question.

I found that winning a Pricebender auction is purely by luck.

In addition, you must also have lots of patience and plenty of TCredits and a knack for timing.

You must know and decide which auction you want to participate in and have a budget for it.

There are plenty of auctions you can choose to try and learn how it works.

It also helps to learn some bidding acronyms like NAB (No auto-bidder), WBF (Winning Bidder takes back all of his/her bids), BD (Big Dog), JR (Junior auction for those with less than 9 wins), Latency (the speed that your PC is running) Heavy Hitters, we all hear about them, they’re the bidders with heaps of TCredits who will bid to the last bidder standing., etc. and will not quit till they win. They're always at the top of the leaderboard!

You can also check the Winners List to see the latest winners of the latest auctions, and see who are the heavy hitters and regular winners and the kind of auction they have been in.

It's also wise to check the time and the day of the week when these bidders have participated and the kind of items they have won.

When you are ready, select the time of the day when you can bid undisturbed.

Having a budget of how much TCredits to use, start off with a Beginner or Jr. auctions, now knowing that there will be no big dog or heavy hitters to contend with giving you a fair chance of winning.

Don’t jump in straightaway, watch how the auction is going. Check bid log to see how many are bidding, let them bid and push the bidding. Be patient.

When the “Going Once, Going Twice” comes on, put your bid in and don’t hesitate.

When you are running out TCredits, remember your budget, and don't be tempted to stay. There will be other times, so know when to stop.

You may not have won the bid, but you also gained valuable action VPs and MRPs. And, most of all, experience.

Oh, and one thing more, while bidding, be aware of the Bonus Bar. While you’re letting others bid, take time to check the price at the Star of the Bonus Bar. Be prepared to bid within 5 minutes before the price is reached. For example, the price at the Star is $4.95, once the bidding reaches 4.00 bid like crazy and don’t wait any longer. You can win 4TCredits 6 times- that is 24 TCredits to be won!

Hi,

Winning a "GAME" is always connected with faith and luck. However, in Pricebender Auction, there are few things to be noted and the following are from my experience and I "WON" and "LOST" on several occasions.

1) Always prepare yourself and look at the item the most you wanted to have it.

2) Don't jump in each auction where you participate a while and quit.

3) Closely watch who are the "Bidders" in the subject auction. You may find very expertise people on bidding and better you "Avoid" entering in there.

4) Keep enough TCredits as you may finish your TCredits in between and it may take few minutes to purchase the TCredits, if you really want to continue the auction and win the same, as the time in between is very cruicial and you may loose the game (a short interval for purchasing TCredits may end up in loosing the auction).

5) Keep anxiety and nervousness away while bidding. You may throw every TCredits if you are in such situation.

6) If you loose also a bid you are always a "WINNER" as you are getting handsfull "MRP" and "PSAs".

Believe me your question is simple but difficult to answer because there are no proven answer to it. As there are different method by different bidders so it make it difficult to answer.

But in my own opinion you can follow the instruction bellow:

1. Buy enough TCredit before you begin auction.
2. Budget your self and stick to it
3. Enter the auction with 20TC on auto bid, in NAB use up the 20TC. These is to find out the numbers and seriousness of the bidders.
4. Don't get in war with another bidder, watch the game and enter your bid at 5 second to minimise your TC
5. Don't wait to bid at going once or going twice, the auction may close before the system accept your bid due to network problem
6. Study the auction if the timing is getting to 3 second before it reset, it mean there no much bidders
7. At this point set your auto bid to 50TC and watch
8. Once the 50TC is finish, start the bid again from item 4 down to 8

There are many tips available but only your own experiences in participating is detrimental to success.I have personally participated in numerous auctions but have yet to win any.On a few occasions my bid was just before the winning price.

Firstly,it depends on whether you are a first timer or regular. For a first timer it is imperative that we select the appropriate auction. It is best that we select an auction that is categorised as follows:
1WA - Limited to only bidders who have never won any Pricebenders auction
Jr- Junior auction which is limited to members with 9 wins or less
Preferably to opt for 1WA since your chances are greater.

Secondly,it also depends how much are you willing to lose.Set a target since every bid will cost you 1 TCredit ($0.29 if purchase in bulk of 125TCredit SO).It will be more costly if your TCredits are not purchase in bid.

Thirdly, before you participate in any Pricebenders auction,it is advisable that you observe a few Pricebenders auction if time permitted. This is to enable you to study the trend and strategize your further action.

Once you are fully equipped with the basic knowledge you are now ready to participate.The most important tip is do not participate at the beginning of the auction.By doing so you will unnecessarily exhausted your TCredits.

Carefully observe the auction and take note of the time interval for the price change.
Enter your bid only when the auction timer is about 20 seconds or less.If the timer repeatedly reaches zero and zero again before starting over, it means that lesser bidders are participating and your chances will be greater.

Another factor to be considered is to participate in auctions where no auto bidder is allowed.This gives you more chances to win.However if you have sufficient TCredits and you are willing to take the risk then it is envisaged that you use your auto bid with care.Time your bid appropriately so that you would not unnecessarily exhausted your TCredits.

Lastly participate in Pricebenders auction for cheaper items since more bidders will participate in more expensive items such as computers, handphones and other electronic items.Your winning probability will be more when less bidders are participating in cheaper items.

There are a few safe and precautionary steps to be followed before one steps in and really participates in the real time auctions.

a) Observe daily, several times - several items. Right from the would go, from Start to Finish. Take down all the observations and go through it several times a day so that one does not forget it.

• At first only be a spectator. Don’t take part yourself if you’re not totally clued up. Watch a few different auctions at different times of the day and different days of the week. Learn as much as possible about the products on offer, the different bidders that feature and the patterns that are obvious.
• Start out with the 1WA (First win auction) until you actually win one, then move on to Junior auctions, and so on.
• Work out a strategy and use it. Better it all the time as you go along.
• Set a budget and stay with it, but see to it that you have enough TC’s available.
• Be the top bidder as much as possible, but don’t get involved in a bidding war. Rather stand down and let the war play itself out. You will just loose unnecessary TC’s. Just keep on observing and only bid when counter goes too low, but get back on top as soon as possible. Then others have to chase you and if they hesitate too long when counter goes low, you win.
• Be patient, calm and rested.
• If you use the auto-bidder, use it with extreme care. It can be a mighty tool in your campaign, because it can be very overpowering, but know how to use it or else you could loose a lot of TC’s very fast.
