My tips are:

1. Participate or watch more frequently to understand the dynamics of the players, especially the big guns.

2. Choose auctions you think competition will not be fierce or too costly; 1WA and Jr auctions, and the auction of not very attractive products etc

3. Study time of the day when participants are fewer and auctions are won cheaply; 1am-8am GMT is my preferred time frame.

4. Possess sufficient amount of Tcredits to avoid more purchases during auction; this shopping trip may be the critical moment.

5. You may not need to start early by waiting for others to exhaust their Tcredits, but you may occasionally throw in one or two bids in critical moments; like when counter reaches very low count.

6. Better to become a spectator during a bidding 'war' and resume when the 'war' is over.

7. If you may, use the auto bid with care because others may be watching and waiting for you to exhaust your Tcredits before they step in; prudent to adjust your bids, using the auto bid feature.

My general advice is that the auction is becoming more and more competitive on a daily basis, so do not spend what you cannot afford to loose.

How can I win a Pricebenders auction?

First of all, make sure you have read the How It Works and the Rules & Policies pages, so you understand the basics.

The most important thing is that you set a budget and stick to it.

There are lots of great tips on the Tips & Strategies page, but I would add this:

Watch the auctions for a while. Watch for the big bidders. Watch for people who have won the TCredit packs in the last day or two. Also watch out for anyone who has won a big-ticket (feature) item, as people can turn these into cash/TCredits very easily.

Pay attention to how the auctions work in real time, and learn as much as you can before you jump in and get your feet wet. Once you feel comfortable with the auction process and understand how things work, pick the auction you want to bid on.

I like to focus on auctions that will help me build my business. S-Builder Co-op shares, PSA or CSA packs, Gift Cards, and TCredit cards are good choices.

If you haven't won any auctions yet, I would recommend bidding first on a 1WA auction - these are specifically for first-time winners. If you can afford to, stick with it and you have a good chance of winning! Then, choose the Junior auctions, for people who have won less than 10 auctions. This protects you from the "power bidders." You can often win great items for great prices in the Junior auctions.

If you are serious about winning an auction, I would advise against bidding in DP (Double Point) auctions, as many people will just throw their TCredits away to exchange them for MRP and action VP. Although there are benefits to that strategy, the DP auctions are usually much harder to win.

Depending on how deep your pockets are, you can also become a power bidder. We are all here to MAKE money, not SPEND it. However, there are people who are successfully building their SFI businesses through Pricebenders auctions.

The most important thing to remember is to set your budget and stick to it. Study the auctions and learn how they work, who the big bidders are, and be smart.

That is a question that everybody who participates in the auctions would delight in having a working answer to.

Personally I have won only three auctions but the thing is I have only tried about seven times so my odds at winning are running a whopping 42%. I know if I played more my winning percentage would more than likely decrease considerately.

The old saying – “Practice makes perfect” is very true when playing the auctions. You have to get in there and bump a few elbows and learn what it takes for you to win. Everyone will have their own strategy for winning.

What works for me might not work for anyone else. I enter an auction about what I guess is at its ½ point. Then I only bid when I notice that no one else has bid when the timer drops below 10 seconds left.

When I can see that there is a bidding war going on between a couple of people I back off and wait for whoever ends up on the top – when that happens I wait for the timer again to show that there is only 10 seconds or less to bid.

I personally do not do a lot of auctions because of the slow latency problems caused by my Internet provider which is by satellite. I cannot afford to switch over to the super high speed system. If I had better (and cheaper) satellite service I would participate in more auctions.

It would be advisable to go to the latest auction results for the item you are interested in and study the amount of bids it took to win the auction. Figure an average by the highest bids down to the lowest bids and see if you can afford to participate around the ½ way point. When on the above page go to the item you are interested in bidding on and at the bottom of the photo there will be a link there which will take you to the winning history of that item.

There are so many variables that need to be considered into picking out an average win point that the math becomes ridiculous.

When I play in the auctions it is because I have a large amount of TCredits that I need to convert to action points – this way if I win it is an extra huge bonus because I receive the AVPs that I needed and I also won the auction.

And now to help top up the prizes for bidding in the auctions is that you receive a new CSA every time you make 50 bids (TCredits).

Everyone want to know this if someone has the answer! A win in a Pricebenders auction always depend a lot of things. A few important points that may help one win an auction is outlined below:-

Observation: Observe a lot of auctions before participate. Try to figure out who played and won frequently (heavy hitters), which time slot and day most of them actively participate, which item have more bidders and which one have less, etc.

Prepare: Prepare yourself for the auction mentally. Assure that the PC or other devices and internet/Wi-Fi connections are working well. Assure that a backup supply in standby if you are residing in areas that are frequent in power outage.

Avoid Distractions: Avoid all sources that distract your concentration. Switch off your Mobile phone or kept it in silent mode.

TCredits: Buy enough TCredits before starting the game. A minimum of 200 TCredits are advisable.

Research: If you want to bid on a particular item, do some research about previous auctions for that item. Take note of the final bid price and calculate the average cost.

Set your Price: Set your final price and stick to it. Avoid Temptation and anxiety.

Try to participate in low priced or less demand items. 1st win auctions or Junior auctions are best to try initially. Withdraw from bidding if you know a heavy hitter is there or someone who won 300/500 TCredit packs recently.

Initially, No Auto Bidder auctions are good for you. Bid at the beginning and withdraw if a lot of players are participating. Watch the auction and check the bid log continuously. If heavy hitters suddenly vanish from the bid log, you can guess either he/she is smarter and observing or he/she spent his/her stock of TCredits. Here again you got a chance. The best time is one that the bid timer comes to a few seconds and repeats the Going Once…Going Twice…
Avoid Double MRP auctions. People who have no intentions for winning may participate for more MRP. Also avoid participating in auctions near the month end. Others are participating for more VPs to achieve EA status or TL status. Also avoid newly introduced products. These are my brief suggestions. All the best!

Pricebenders auctions are great way to get some product with a BIG discount (even from 99,99%).So,it's attractive to many affiliates.


Winning an auction is not so easy job,but I'll write you what I do and some tips.


FIRST PART:preparation (before auction)

1. get to know auctions.Take your time to follow and see how the auction works.Observe several auctions for couple of days.

2. choose auction:see what would be interesting to you.Is it a pack of T-credits,or mobile telephone or lap top computer,or unit of S-builder,or some gold or silver coin...make your choice.
Also,choose auction type.If you're newbie (never won an auction before),then check if there's mark "1WA" ("first win auction") next to the auction.In those auctions only those who never won an auction are eligible to bid.If you have less then 10 auctions won,then look for a mark "JR" ("Junior").It's for those with 9 or less wins.The rest of explanations of the marks you'll find at bottom of auction tab on Tripleclicks.

3. auctions to be avoid for a beginner:"big dog" type of auction and "DP" (double MRP) auctions.It's sure nice to have 10 MRP for a bid instead of 5,but on such auctions you'll also need double credits to spend if you want to win it.Because "DP" auctions often attract many affiliates to bid on them,which means more of your TC used for bidding.Instead of it,you can choose auction of "normal" type (or already mentioned "1WA" or "JR" if possible) and use less TC to win it.

4. other preparations:get enough T-credits (you can prepare as much credits as you want,but I recommend you that you don't get into any auction if you don't have at least 40-50 TC),see previous auctions of the item you're preparing for what is average price for it,take the time for the auction (which means:don't let something else drag your attention) and be prepared when it starts (turn off other programs on your computer,especially those which use internet,so that your connection is unladen).



SECOND PART:auction (after it starts)

1. when the auction begins,there are generally 2 strategies:get involved from the start or wait and see how the auction is going (and choose the right moment to "hop in").If you're deficient with TC I advise you to wait first and bid later.However,if you have plenty of TC prepared for bidding,then there's no need to wait,go strait from the start.

2. during auction:look at the bidding log (you'll find it at down right corner of the screen) and meet your rivals.The main thing is to find out how serious are they.Click on their nick-names and see their badges.If you see that your main rival has "millions" of wins of Knock Out Trivia games or Gold Streak games or Pick The Price games,then most probably he/she has a lot of TC ready for bidding and better avoid competing with him/her.You'll just loose your TC.
Also,check out the list of latest auction winners.You sure don't want to go "in war" with someone who just won 500 TC pack.

3. about bidding,there are also two general strategies:to use "auto-bidder" or not to use it.It depends from person to person.See what's better for you.

4. if you choose to wait and see,then your strategy is first to let others "spend themselves" (loose lot of their TC) and then you come on the scene and outbid them all.

5. when is the right moment to start bidding?Well,that's a million dollars question.Like I said,if you have really enough credits prepared (say,1000 or more TC),then go from the start.If not,then you'll have to pick up the right moment to get involved.
How to find when is it?There are some signs that may lead you to know when is the right time.If you see that no one's on auto-bidder,that auction timer often reaches "Going once,going twice",that only one person is still competing with the highest bidder (last 5-6-7 bids are only his/hers bids),that the average price of past auctions is exceeded - all that means that not many others are interested anymore in competing,so it might be a good time for you to show up.

6. taking action:if you're not highest bidder,and your opponent is on auto-bidder,then first spend 10-20-30 TC on bidding.That's just to feel your rival's "pulse".You might outbid him/her with that.If not,then continue bidding with 50-100-200 or more TC.

7. take notes about your rivals:take a note when someone is starting to bid.For example,if you're bidding on 300 TC pack auction,and someone is already spent 250-300 TC into bidding,that might mean that he or she is almost "done".However,there are some person who enter auctions with lot of emotions.They cannot stand that someone else defeat them.So,those persons will spend 5000 TC just to win an auction,even if the prize is,say,5 TC.


After all,you'll also need LUCK to win an auction.
Keep in mind that there are other members who are trying to win it - just like you.Will they get into auction you have selected to bid on and when they'll do it or they won't do it...well,that's more matter of luck.


And also remember:don't get desperate if you don't win auction you were prepared for.There will ALWAYS be next auction and next chance ;)

Hi Slavica,

I have not bid at many auctions but I have come very close to winning several times. (Oh, I thought I would have a heart attack!) I hope I can help you somehow.

I like NAB (No Autobidder) auctions so that I can enjoy the auction (or auctions, as was the case last time until I stayed with one NAB auction.) Also, with a No Autobidder auction there is more control over Tcredit spending, not wasting Tcredits. (Two examples: By bidding too early or just by bidding like a mad person.)

The NAB auctions I have bid on all took well over two (2) hours. As long as they were, I enjoyed every second as I was in NAB auctions, I was relaxed plus I had both enough time and Tcredits...Until, despite buying Tcredits, I ran out and the auction ended shortly after! I will have to buy more Tcredits next time.

Just to give you an idea about my bids in October, a total of 186 for some auctions. At least 100 bids were placed in one day because I received two PSAs (the maximum per day) under the Bid & Build program. I kept bidding as I was enjoying the - you guessed it - NAB auction I was in.

What I have learned to do and not to do when I bid at auctions are:

1) Do not bet too early - someone usually bets right after and there goes a Tcredit;

2) Do not bet too late - SFI suggests no later than 5 seconds. I work on my smartphone and sometimes I need a few extra seconds;

3) If I watch an auction early, I watch to see how many bidders there are and how often they are bidding. If there are a few bidders, I bid near the end of the timer, within the last 20 down to 10 seconds (smartphone and my preference.) I have learned to save a good amount of Tcredits, I like 40 or so, for later in the auction for when more bidders drop in to bid. (Believe me, they do a lot more than say, "Hi");

4) When you are the highest bidder, focus at all costs! You could win or you might have to bid. (I take my smartphone to the washroom so that I can bid if I have to);

5) I started out with Tcredits but, during the auction when I needed to buy more Tcredits, to the right was Quick Buy. I selected how many Tcredits I wanted to purchase, put the amount on my PayPal Billing Agreement (the same one for my Standing Order [SO]), all was done. I did that as I was bidding; and

6) Lastly, note the time I spent in the auctions. Do not rush in to an auction if you will not have enough time to see it through. If you have enough Tcredits and bid them wisely, you can stretch them out. Time is a different matter.

And make sure you understand that when you bid, it just resets the auction clock, so being the last one to bid before the clock hits zero gains you little if anything...and may just keep you from winning if your bid is delayed by one of the afore-mentioned technical issues. If your strategy is to wait until the "last possible moment," we recommend bidding with NO LESS THAN 5 seconds remaining.

DON'T...get overly excited when bidding. You'll be more likely to break your budget and/or use your TCredits up faster than you need to.

DON'T...get in a bidding war with other bidders. If you can, sit back and let others battle and use their TCredits trying to out-bid each other.

DON'T...pick an item on which to bid just because it looks like only a few members are bidding on it. A lot of members wait until the last few moments to bid. So while it may look like only a few bidders are interested, dozens more are probably watching and waiting—particularly if it's a popular item.

Auctions are auctions anywhere in the world and I do not see any special magic how you can win at the PriceBenders auctions. What matters is that you must have enough TCredits with which to outbid any other participant. To me that is the only trick. However, with differences in time zones, you can decide to bid when big time bidders like those in the Western Hemisphere and the Americas are asleep. That to me is the only trick otherwise you just have to slug it out real time all the time with other bidders.

The best way to win is to outbid every other participant in the auctions. Good news is, the bidding process is automated and that makes it fair and even for all bidders. That way, the system recognizes nobody special. What determines who wins is persistence and resilience. If you can continually remain persistent and resilient in your bidding efforts, no doubt you will win at the PriceBenders auctions.

You can win often if you, are patient, persistent, rested and have the time. It will help if the sounds are working and turned on. Be prepared to sit it out for the long haul if need be. Don't play if your tired or sleepy.

Strategy is an important key to winning. With experience it will not matter weather or not you are using the Autobidder. Remain the top bidder as much as possible. Any hesitation or drop offs of players will increase your chances of winning if your on top. You must know when to push ahead full and when to draw back and let your competition run down. Just don't postpone bidding as the clock counts down.

If you can command the Autobidder you will dominate the bidding process. Keep in mind that if more than one Autobidder is engaged TCredits will be used up very fast. Someone will usually deactivate their Autobidder when this happens. If someone is not monitoring at the time this happens they may find out their T-Credits were used up. Only you can decide when to draw back and bid manually until you have another opening to take back the Autobidder.

Manual bidding can work for you in the same way. The key is to dominate by staying top bidder. Every time you are outbid you would respond in kind to remain on top or draw back and let it play out. If your competition are strong players it can be tough to win. You will just have to decide what you will do based upon your particular situation and what is most important to you at the given time.

It would also benefit you to study the Auctions, Winners Section and Winners of Pick the Price. This will help you develop a winning strategy.
