Your Goals should be Realistic!

Set them too high - you'll be disappointed when you can't reach them and lose the motivation and drive!!

Set them too low - you won't be using all your potential and sell yourself short!

Look at your progress in the last few months, analyze it, if you're happy with what you've accomplished set your next month goals 10% higher; this way you challenge yourself and test your capabilities as the same time.

If you're not happy with what you've accomplish set your goals much higher to test your capabilities and then challenge yourself with the 10% increase each month.

Don't forget to improve your knowledge in the mean time, you won't be able to advance and reach the higher goals without proper training and hard work.

Dear Stephen,

Setting goals has always been a part of you. You know best how you set goals for yourself and how much you can achieve in a given time-period. It's always good is someone pushes and supports you a bit - that are the times you surprise not only everyone else, but even yourself.

My opinion on goals is actually really simple. NEVER set the goals to high, but also never lack of imagination. Take a step at a time and set the first-months goals a bit unrealistic. If you do that, the next month you'll see how far apart of what you had in mind and what is possible you are.

Know yourself! Always be optimistic, but never be naive. If you think you can handle recruiting and supporting 10 EA's each month, then go for it. Don't let anyone stop you! No one is unable to find team members. There's always at least a 100 people that think alike you. Always be yourself and let other people see it.

Take random life situations in account. What can YOU expect of yourself if someone gives you a task and a deadline? How fast can you react upon your own beliefs and expectations and how much are you willing to sacrifice to achieve this goal.

It's always a struggle inside of you that keeps you going and YOU are the one that decides which side of you is going to take the lead.

I'm sure you will find it out by yourself pretty soon and you look like a winner to me!
Go for it and do your best. Setting goals is an essential, but easy part of this job. Rely on yourself, but trust in your down line and every goal you ever set is going to be just a small hurdle for you! :)

I start on the Goals tab, once there I look at the list of Goals at the top, I work my way down the list!

Example:

New PSA's this month I have set mine to 10 I'm currently on 0 but by the end of the month I will probably have closer to 20 or even 25.

Power Rank Leader Board Over all I had mine set on 1000th in the World, I have gained that Goal 970th place!

Power Rank in the UK I had mine set to reach 50th place, I'm now 48th place so now I'm aiming for 30th place!

I adjust my Goals as I hit them.

I decide what Goals I have for say what amount of money I want to be earning in 6 months time! $1,000.00 per month when I hit that I might increase my 1 years target by 50% if I said I want to be earning $2,000.00 I would probably change it to $3,000.00

I hope you understand the point I'm trying to make?
It's a case of trying to increase your Goals and really push yourself as much as you can.....?

This is a great question Steve.

I was never really a goal setter before I joined SFI.

In fact it's probably the reason I joined. If I'd been able to set goals in the past I'd be in a much better financial situation now.

So...from a "novice" goalsetter.

I set small goals. I have dreams that I am aiming towards but if I don't set small achievable goals my dreams are just to big.

I also revisit my goals very regularly to adjust them. Sometimes I need to set them higher because I have reached the initial goal, and sometimes I need to have a look and decide if I have really set a realistic goal for myself.

I use the goals tab to set my SFI goals. I don't expect miracles but try to set them high enough to challenge me. This gives me a great feeling of having achieved something. Once I've reached a goal I set it higher. I tend to set most of the goals so I am within 10% of achieving it. I feel this is realistic for the month. But once the tab turns blue I raise the bar.

If I were to set my sights to high I find doubt creeping in. 10% keeps the doubt at bay and gives me something to aim for.

Now I know some people can handle more of a challenge than this but I find this works well for me.

Here are few points as how to go about it:

1. Before you start setting proper goals for you make sure you set up your standing order worth 1500VPs or more.

2. To set proper goals for you, you need to be practical & realistic.Do not set goals that are beyond your reach.

3. Set small & achievable goals and work towards realizing them. See that you ultimately realize them at the end of the month.

4. Setting proper goals & achieving them may require certain hours of working on SFI, Learning about new ways to sponsor & recruit, recruiting TripleClicks Members, selling TC products.

5. It may also include gifting certificates, TC Credits, assigning members to your movers, supporting and guiding them to duplicate & become at least EA2

6. Making sure to raise your rank in class, country & world to the extent possible.

Goals are need to be set at the each month starting ,
i would highly recommend take 5 PSA's and 5 Retail Customer
as your Goal for Each month ,
sponsor 5 EA each month and help them to continue there EA status.
why 5 People ?
if 5 people are your PSA with Standing Order ,
then You're Standing Order is free!
so bottom line : Get your 5 Standing Order referrals and set yourself for Free!

Quick Tip: if you join anyone as SFI affiliate ,
just tell or help them to get there 5 people at there first month.
also don't forget to tell them that get your 5 people and set yourself free.
as you go along from the 2nd month or may be even on there first month
they can start keeping standing order and You set yourself free.

Good question. I believe the goals you set should be realistic, smart and achievable.
Not too high nor too easy/low. When there are reasonable they become a driving force for you as you work hard daily to achieve them; if they are not realistic; or too high you will fail to achieve them every month; that will lead to frustration and you will get easily demotivated. This is why some people end up abandoning/giving up on the business. On the other hand if the goals are too easy to achieve its pointless as that will not require much effort on your part to attain them.

Every month adjust your target; If last month you had aimed to reach 500 on the country leaderboard and you only managed to reach 2000 despite having exerted yourself; then there are two things; either your were too ambitious or your goals were not realistic because there is no way that you can achieve being N0.500 (for example) if you currently are 55000 on the leaderboard.

*Commit yourself that You make 5 PSA'S EA every month and 5 PSA'S EA-2 every month.

*Make Yourself Strict with your targets and do it not just think about it !

*Try to sale at-least 2 products a day & achieve commissions.

*Never shout at anyone - If someone not listen to you - Just think a while & ask him/her - Why you are not listening or doing whatever I am saying/telling to you? It's for your good sake - Not for my sake;

*And when commissions are flooding into your home or PayPal account - Just take an Standing Order and RELAX for three months at-least and taught the same thing to your down-line as well.

That's How You Will See Yourself - HOW YOUR BUSINESS IS AFTER ONE OR TWO MONTHS ONLY ..

Look at yourself first and lay down your personal mission statement. Know your personal priorities. What is really important to you and what are your values. Base any lifelong goals within these parameters. If you find yourself having a hard time you will usually find yourself living a life you do not believe in. Stay true to your beliefs regardless of what someone else thinks you should be doing.

Set monthly goals at the beginning of each month using the Goals tab on your to-do list. If SFI is in line with what you believe in and you can share your experience with others you will not quit half way to your mark and you will set goals you can see. Much like a scout navigating through the wilderness, mark your next goal where you can see yourself next, not so far out you cannot plan your steps.

When you finish setting your basic goals for the month set weekly objectives at the beginning of each week and make sure they are in line with the monthly goals you set.

Then each day, start by making a list… just like the to-do list you see on your main SFI page. Finish the basics first and make your routine easy to complete every work day. Then if there are one or two things you can add to this routine do them progressively each day you have opportunity.

Most of all be persistent and visualize what your life goal is several time a day. Many times you will find that you do not know what you need to do until you reach the next destination. Always stay focused and work hard to reach your dreams. The universe wants you to be where your desire leads you.

To set a proper goal for your self in SFI and in life generally the goal must have the following ingredients.

The goal must be "REAL"
