The internet opened the world to us - suddenly distance means nothing. Why limit yourself? Optimize what is available to you and promote local and internationally. You can have a successful team - no matter where in the world your affiliates are.

If you sell electronic products like e-books there is no reason to only sell local. There is no shipping costs involved and it is as easy as sending an e-mail with the book or link attached.

If you want to sell something big local might be better because of the costs involved shipping it to another country.

So promoting to recruit affiliates - go big - go global
Promoting specific products - take everything into consideration and decide on merit where you want to promote it.

I experience that promoting SFI and TripleClicks globally via the internet is better. People rather read for themselves that have to listen to a lecture. This is my more successful method.

But with X-cards and gift cards from TripleClicks I have been fairly successful in my surrounding community. Promoting personally is always more difficult Especially when speaking to friends and family, but they can become your hardest workers in your business. I found that they were very skeptical about this SFI bussiness. So I left it at that. Then my goodies started to arrive that I purchased from TripleClicks and they got interested. They Poyneer Debit Card convinced them. This took all of 6 months.

This is why I prefer global internet marketing. It is either free or very cheap and you don't have to keep on explaining yourself.

Logically:

1. When you join SFI, your immediate aim will be to introduce some body and start
building your Team.

2) You will look for every opportunity to do it without spending money;

3) Your immediate Target will be your Family Members, Relatives, Friends, colleagues
(if you are employed) & so on;

4) When couple of them join & grow to the next level, you will also grow in confidence;

5) When you start seeing commission (however small or big it is) you will naturally
try to explore opportunities to consolidate the gains thus achieved.

6) When you thus establish yourself then the idea can always be, how to maximize
income.

7) This is the moment, when any one will try to promote TripleClicks Stores through:

- Transfer Buying;
- Creation of ECAs;
- PRMs, etc, etc.

8) There are lot many opportunities to promote & establish SFI Business & TripleClicks
locally:

* With nil or negligible expenses;
* Easy & quick communication;

Promote SFI and TripleClicks, does not have a thing and 'better, because' both should be promoted in the same way, both are important for all of us. If you do it 'locally' person can be eased, the pool of people who know the you have at hand every day, friends, family, acquaintances and shopkeepers are more 'available to know what' you offer. Instead promote globally, has more 'opportunity' of contacts, you can use many marketing aids available to us, so everything can 'be more' easy, even if those light 'your proposal does not know you. I can give you an idea of how I have promoted TripleClicks for new members; I posted an ad on a group of sell / trade used things on Facebook.
I made a lever to draw attention to the fact that TripleClicks is not 'just a store to shop, but also of sales for its registered members here.
This is likely to induce new members to visit the store, and then use it not only to sell their items, but also to buy, or to participate in the auctions or the games.

A) Promoting SFI and Triple Clicks locally and more personally:-
I presume that when you say locally and personally, it means no online promo activity.
If that is the case, then listed below are its merits followed by thede-merits.
Merits:-
a) A personal interaction with an individual in your location will enable you to explain in detail about the business, its process and benefits in your own time.
b)Personal face to face contact can let you know the individuals body language, indicating whether he is interested to try out this venture or not. This will prepare you to sell the product accordingly!
c)There are good chances of the persons whom you contact will try to become a member as you had taken pains to personally meet and discuss the benefits of joining SFI/TC.
d) Pros and cons about the system can be explained to clear his doubts/queries.
e) Impromptu discussions regarding SFI/TC membership can be carried out when you are out with your friends while visiting Malls/Multiplexes, on picnics etc.
f) You can practically run through the details/benefits of this business using your Laptop,Tablet etc using the internet! Show him the games, auctions.products etc live on the Triple Clicks web site page.

Maybe my situation is a lot different than most people's. I live in a country that doesn't allow a foreigner to work without a work permit, and that is difficult to get. If I go out and pass out my business cards (like I would like to do), I might end up with a visit from an unfriendly immigration officer, and could even end up in jail!

So for me, I have to build my business internationally. There is no other way. That is no problem for me because I want an international business anyway. I have two effective options for building my business internationally. The first is via advertising on the web. The second is simply purchasing PSAs and working with them to help them get established. I have found the second method to work best for me, and any time I find a PSA who shows that they want to build this business, and then they make it to EA level or go on and get on Standing Order, I reward them with 25 PSAs. That immediately internationalizes their business and mine as well, and it pays dividends many times over.

I would say to start with your comfort zone.Are you a people lover? Do you talk to strangers?
Can you start with your friends and family?

How do you decide to invite them to Tripleclicks or SFI? Well that depends where you are at the time.Have cards for everything.

I use the Wave3 cards to each person who parks by me.Some of the best places are game stores,library,auctions,coffee houses and gas stations.

You know what Gery says.Figureee on handing out 30 cards a month.

On line? I put up two blogs and two websites.Put a link or banner in each of them.Be subtle.
Write your subject and place the links at the end.

If you use banners,place them on the sides.Do not mention them.They do their advertising for you.

Now since you want to know which is better, I will say locally is better.
Since you want to know 'why', I'll say - You can make a big strong local group and recruit shops. Buy your daily products locally and get AVPs, MRPs, CVs and save on shipping fees. (This is what I'm planning to do).
I'll give more reasons as follows:
* It is easy to recruit a person that you can talk to face to face than a person on internet.
*It is easy to do follow ups and encourage on local people than on internet, especially face to face.
* You can arrange and meet, then show them things and help them with problem than on internet.
* You can meet and plan strategies together.
* You can meet, encourage and go together on recruiting.
* You will end up getting people who will join you without recruiting them, etc
