How to get a downline members to participate in the contest team, namely:

1. Notify the contest
The first step is to get referrals is to participate in the contest, the team was told to PSA nor the CSA about the existence of the team. After the presence of downline team contest, we routinely to motivate downline in order to participate actively in the team contest.

2. Create clear rules
After the presence of downline contest the next step is to make rules that are clear and easily understood by your downline. It is meant not to happen wrong about the rules that apply in the team contest.

3. The contest must be realistic
In order for referrals is excited in following contest team, preferably easy contest in its implementation and realistic in its accomplishments

4. Fair Contests
The last step to downline team participate in the contest is the presence of Justice for all referrals to be able to participate in the contest team

Getting your down line to participate in your team contests depends highly first of all with how well you handled and treated them.

Did you effectively communicate with them from the beginning? Where you there to answer all of their questions? Did you offer any support at all? These questions and more will determine how responsive your down line is gonna be when you suggest their participation in team contests or anything else. It is has been said time and time again that "If you learn how to touch a heart, then asking for a hand will be easy".
You may consider Making your communication (e-mail, print, etc.) with them short, friendly, and personal. Use their name in your salutation if you can.

Tip No. 5 of following up Affiliates states that: Do NOT make aggressive statements like, "If you want to make money with this you need to accumulate 1,500 VersaPoints now." This will only cause backlash and cause people to opt out of SFI. SFI's system clearly works, and one big reason is because they bring people through in steps, without undue pressure. They are showed the BENEFITS of participating in SFI and let them decide. There's no need to twist anyone's arm.

One way I have tried and found very successful in getting my down line to participate in team contests having put in place all of the above in place first is to offer Incentives. People love free stuff and I have personally seen that this technique works well. It also helps certain affiliates to open up some and more and communicate more often with you.

Take time to explain to them the benefits of co-opting or being in the contest. We humans are like that. We will ask ourselves the WIIFM-(What's In It For Me) question before taking a step.

The most important element in motivating your downline affiliates to participate in whatever contest your offering, is to make sure you promote the benefits to them in participating rather than just the process to participate in your contest.

To focus on the why rather than just the how!

For example, don't just tell your affiliates that you will give them a certain amount of TCredits, or shares in your advertising co-operative or whatever the contest prize is going to be. But actually explain what the benefit of these prizes will be to them if they participate. What they could do with the TCredits or new sign-ups in building their SFI business.

All your actions need to focus on how to best support your downline team members. When they have confidence in your motivations they are much more likely to get motivated. If you focus on helping your downline to build their business successfully then you will have a successful business and a successful contest.

I think that is a good question.

I think if you have serious members in your downline, whatever incentive in whatever form of contest should be a pull to them. What you will find if affiliates do not understand the contest or it is too difficult and too hard to accomplish or if the affiliate is not even so interested in making it in the SFI business, then try as you may you may not bet able to get them involved in participation contests.

Other ways to get interested affiliates aware and interested in contest:
> Make the rewards something that affiliate will value
> Send personalized email to each inviting each to join the challenge
> Offer an incentive for participation even if the affiliate does not win the contest.

The best answer I can say is that in order for this to work. They have to "want" to participate in your contests. You remember the saying "you get what you put in." The more they work, the more they will reap the benefits of this business.

Anybody everyday can earn up to 2 Free T-Credits from the TripleClicks site on the "Games" Tab. Raise the rewards even higher to like 5-10 T-Credits. Make sure you put on these contests way ahead of time so everybody can be present and actively participate in them.

What you're doing is very good because it keeps your members active and wanting to participate even more. Contests are a good spark to help them and to also help you too. Keep going in that. Take advantage of every single thing you are given and watch how wonderfully you reap the benefits of this business.

Don’t let contests be your only motivator. Giving support to team members is more meaningful in the long run than the momentary motivation from winning an contest.

Consider these strategies to fire up your team force:

So before setting up a team contest, you should be well aware of the status of your team(No. of AFF's/EA's/TL's in previous & current month). I'd suggest you to do a proper planning & then prepare the contest set-up accordingly.

Remember that statement. Effective follow-up is key in any kind of business. It can take many follow-ups to have someone gain interest and curiosity. You need to work hard on your follow-up strategy. Sending out 1 or 2 emails may get some response from time to time, but you need to continue your follow-up to elicit more response.

Think about what gets you to act, then try to write a follow-up that would motivate you into action. Think about some TV commercials and how and or why they grab your attention. How do other emails you receive grab your attention? Learn what grabs your attention and then translate that into your follow-up campaigns.

A few things to consider about your contests. Be sure that you are not over extending yourself. Make it worth your while too. Keep trying and don't give up. Just because one contest may not get attention just means you need to work on it some more. Try some new things out, try some different follow-up. But most important is to keep trying.

1.Post reminder about how it works( what you are awarding them for),what are rewards and when is the deadline ,once or twice a week in the :
-group mail
-stream tab
-on your Leadership page
-on your FB page,twitter,LinkedIn...( if your PSAs are your friends there also)
-on your blog
2.Tell them why it is important,how it will affect their business,what are the benefits and how healthy competition can be very useful to build solid business( and sometime in future they should do it too for their team)
3.Shroud it in mystery...give a hint about some small surprise,something "special" for lets say first 3 ranked.Obviously ,think of something original and unconventional, special reward.
4.Ask some of the people who already joined to write something about it on your blog or FB wall or anywhere..so others can see that it is real event and it is happening!!People are joining in and enjoying it!!
5.Create some unique,fun..maybe even funny line that will reflect your contest.Like: "Join our PLAY 2 WIN contest and win $10 Gift certificate,20TC or S-builder co-op"

I have tried on numerous occasions to offer contests to my team and have been so disappointed at the total lack of interest and non-existant entries!

I have just realised what part of the problem is!

Newbies have no idea WHERE to go to FIND the competition to enter it! I have just added a new competition myself for my newbies and actually got a 'help' request from one of them to say 'Where do I go?"

I always state that they must go to my Leadership page, but I now add the LINK to my LP for them to simply click on! I'm hoping this will make the difference!
